Can't lose you

After waking up in the morning and having breakfast, Damian emphasised his want for taking Raven out to his mysterious location. Raven had questioned him about it all morning and he still wouldn't even provide a hint. He was keen on it being a surprise and Raven was becoming eager to know what it was. So when they left in the car to head to their destination, Raven became anxious and excited.

Damian held his arm around Raven's shoulder as she leaned her head against him. He was very skilled at driving and could probably drive anywhere with his eyes closed.

Their moment of happiness was short lived however.

Time slowed down for Raven as she saw a yellow ball of light appear from the car and smoke erupt with fire. Glass began to shatter around her and Damian had a worried face. She soon realised someone fired a rocket at their car. Why? Where? Who? All these questions ran through her head.

As the car was toppled over, Raven immediately checked Damian was ok. He was covered in cuts and a few bruises but he was ok. After they crawled out of the car, Raven turned to see Damian being shocked and rendered immobile on the floor.

"Damian!" Raven called but he couldn't answer. All Raven saw was a pale white Nan with green hair and a devilish smile. The Joker. She'd only heard about the clown on the news and he was just as disgusting as she thought. He definitely needed to brush his teeth.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here? A pretty little bird for me to take under my wing. I'm sure persuasion is necessary but that'll be the easy part. The hard part is resisting the urge to tear off those clothes and take the jack out of the box!" He began to cackle maniacally. Soon all Raven saw was the crowbar heading towards her face with great speed. That was before everything turned black.

The sound of chains and the bright light above her head being turned on was all Raven noticed next. She felt cold and the ground was ice cold against her feet. She was not bare footed before. That was when she noticed her hard nipples were visible for anyone to see and she was fully naked. She was held up by chains on her hands and was still in pain from the car crash. Panic set in quickly when she realised the Joker had kidnapped her. What was more frightening to her was what happened to Damian? Was he alright? Where was he?

(Meanwhile)

Damian awoke feeling the hard road on his face. He hadn't been out for long and it was clear that he had no further injuries after the crash. He hurried up and began calling out for Raven until he noticed a card on the floor with a joker on it. All it read was a frightening message to Damian. "Sorry kid, it's polite to share. I'll make sure she remembers how much better I am and who's really boss. Ha Ha Ha."

His eyes were wide and he frantically searched his phone which somehow survived the crash. He called the police and then decided he had to call his father.

"Damian what's going on? Are you ok?"

"The Joker has Raven! I don't know what to do!" He began to explain what happened and quickly started hyperventilating.

"Damian, calm down alright. She'll be fine, I promise you. The police have said they know where Joker hides, I'm sure they'll get her." Bruce said. He was awfully calm but then Batman would be.

Bruce hung up the phone before calming Damian down further and making sure he went home and stayed there. Which he did. He sat there with his hands on his face thinking, he thought about how he couldn't protect Raven, how he needed to be better at protecting her and what he would do if Joker came back.

(Elsewhere)

"Oh come on! Really?! Just one little touch? Pleeeeeaaaaase?! Hahahahaha!" Joker cackled. He had been teasing Raven while breaking a rib each hour. He said he would keep going until she submitted. One thing she and Damian definitely had in common was their stubbornness. Though Raven was terrified, she managed to bite back enough at her captor.

"Fuck off! You freak! Get away from me!" She kicked him in the nuts which was extremely painful to him but also to her. She really couldn't move with her broken ribs.

"Ow! Bitch! Haha! Little fight in you, I like that!" Joker approached her with his crowbar in hand while teasing her about taking his pants down and indulging himself.

"You already know you love me then!" A rough voice said. Batman appeared and punched Joker's face. As the clown laughed, Batman approached him with anger in his eyes and knocked Joker out. This was too personal for him to converse with the Clown.

He broke the chains holding Raven up and caught her in his arms being careful not to touch her private areas.

She quietly thanked him and he gave a short nod. He knew this wasn't over. Joker would try this again. He needed to keep Damian and Raven safe. He swore he could almost see red glows fade-in Raven's moon white skin but she was red from the beatings so he dismissed that thought.

...

Damian had been pacing for hours. He wanted to kill Joker, he wanted to take him by the neck and choke him until his final laugh was nothing but a wheeze.

He was broken out of his thoughts when he saw Batman appear in his room with Raven. A towel was around her and she was being held in his arms asleep.

"Raven!" Damian screamed. His eyes wide with tears threatening to spill out. He ran over to Batman and took her in his arms. She stirred awake as Batman abruptly disappeared.

"Dami?" Raven whispered. She held no resistance with her tears and let them fall out.

"I'm here. I'm here. Ssshhh." He coos into her ears. He kissed her head before setting her down on the bed before presenting her with pyjamas and treating her wounds.

"What did he do to you?" Damian asked. Sadness was in his voice as the thought of her being invaded sexually by that maniac and then killing her crossed his mind. "Did he..?"

"No. He didn't... he just beat me." Damian engulfed her into his arms with tears now streaming out of his eyes. He was so happy she was alive and well (ish) and back in his arms.

"I'm sorry Raven!" He wept.

"Don't be. I know you want to protect me and he took me but I'm just glad you're alright too." She answered. Damian knew she was just trying to avoid herself as the main topic. She was glad he was ok. They worried more about each other than themselves.

"I can't lose you... I love you more than anything. I'm so happy you're back here with me and you're ok." He pulled her into a strong and passionate kiss. He pulled her head into his chest and let her rest there as he finished tending to her wounds and letting her lay on him on bed.

"I know... I love you too... I can't lose you either. You mean the world to me... You're my home." Raven whispered to him before giving him a long kiss on his lips.

"You're mine too. My love, my home." He responded before wrapping her in his arms and finally getting to sleep with her where she belonged.

That night was plagued with nightmares for the both of them and they both ended up waking up to soothe each other back to sleep.

They promised each other that they would always be there for each other and help each other in their darkest times like always. They needed each other and would do anything to make sure the other was ok.

Long chapter for me 😂. Had this idea and thought I should post it as soon as I can before I forget 😂. I will be thinking of an idea for the next chapter and maybe updating tomorrow (if you're lucky).

Thought it needed some action as well 😂
