Wedding announcement

Damian now knew how Raven felt every time they went up to Wayne Manor now. His legs were shaking this time and Raven was not there to comfort him the way he had comforted her. He hoped he could just go, say what had to be said, allow one minute of questions and any comments and then leave. Of course life was not so simple.

As Damian knocked at the door, Jason Todd came rushing to the door and smacked it open with Alfred looking appalled at his behaviour. Damian was not surprised to see the man and shot him a glare that the older man just grinned at.

"Hey hey there Little D! Where's your girlfriend? Don't tell me you broke up! That's why you're here isn't it you poor thing. There there it was bound to happen sooner or later. After all you're a fucking asshole." Jason rambled on. He patted Damian on the head with more force than necessary and Damian swiped his hand away.

"Todd. I'll have you know we have not broken up, she simply has things she wants to do. I don't have to bring her everywhere I go." Damian retorted. He was never one to stray from a pointless and needless argument or conversation about something that's not important.

"Oh Little D, you sweet naïve boy. Do you not think she wants to get some other action other than you. Honestly if I were her I would've thought twice about dating the king of brats."

"Raven would never do that. I trust her completely. Do you think she's a whore?!" Damian shouted.

"Now now, Master Todd, Master Damian. This is no conversation to even think about having. Master Todd, you know better than to say such horrible things. Miss Raven is a lovely girl and is always good company. Be respectful." Alfred scolded Jason. Frankly, Alfred was the only one Jason ever really listened to and Damian was always thankful for that. Safe to say the rest of the famously could too.

Jason backed off and allowed Damian to enter. He settled into the living room which contained a massive fireplace and four different couches. He ordered Alfred to summon the others with the hint of an announcement. Alfred did so without question and as soon as they sat down, Damian moved himself in front of both the fireplace and them.

"Wait, where's Drake?" Damian asked curiously.

"Master Tim is away for the week. He had arrangements to visit London for an opportunity to work with elite programmers." Alfred explained. Damian huffed before continuing.

"What's going o, Damian?" He heard Selina ask in her motherly voice. She was leaning against Bruce and Damian could just imagine him and Raven like that when they would be married.

"Well, I uh..." Damian was interrupted by a quick knocking on the door. To his surprise, Raven confidently walked through after greeting Alfred. He smiled at her and she returned the gesture.

"Raven?"

She didn't reply, she just stood next to Damian and held his hand. They took very deep breaths in before looking each other in the eyes and nodding. Their fingers intertwined and their grip tight.

"Raven and I... are getting married." Damian managed to say.

"Yeah... surprise." Raven said awkwardly. She mentally scolded herself for saying surprise but, it didn't really matter.

Everyone looked on wide eyed and in shock. No one had moved and the couple began to become nervous. Until, Bruce and Selina walked up to them and tightly embraced them.

"Congratulations!" Dick shouted.

"What the actual fuck?!" Jason added.

"My highest congratulations to your union." Alfred finished.

Bruce looked like he was almost crying and Selina just stroked their cheeks. She looked like a very proud mum.

"I'm proud of you. You both deserve this. I love you both." Bruce confessed. Damian and Raven hugged him again before turning to Selina.

"God... I didn't know it was gonna be this emotional. I'm your step mum and I feel like you're really my actual son. I'm so happy for you two." Selina tearfully said.

Damian have in and have her a hug, stating that she was one thousand times better than Damian's real mother. This made Selina really cry.

Damian confidently turned to Raven who was smiling at him. He grabbed her by the hand and waist and dipped her down like they were in a dance. Raven, confused at first, still couldn't keep the smile off her face.

Damian quickly engulfed her in a passionate kiss. Raven closed her eyes and placed her hand on his cheek. She couldn't escape the live that was moving in the two of them. Not that she ever wanted to.

They both heard cheering and Jason telling them to save it for when they got home and the wedding. They faced the family nervously but, they found their confidence and held each other's hands whilst smiling at them all.
