Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I've been quite busy trying to upgrade my pc which still isn't done but it's at a good point. I've also seen my brother quite a lot who, since he moved out, I don't see often.

Damian took Raven up to their room in the manor. All in all the meeting with his father and stepmother hadn't gone bad. Apart from the fact the two already knew about his relationship with Raven, it was a normal dinner. Damian couldn't help but feel relief as he knew how difficult his father could be. Being the son of a billionaire playboy was not easy when the billionaire playboy didn't know much about being a father and money wasn't going to help. Luckily it went ok.

Raven walked in the room holding Damian's hand. She also felt relief, a massive amount. She had been stressing about this meeting for a while. She had no nice outfit, she wore her standard leather jacket with her purple dress and high heel boots. She still considered herself to be nothing close to a beauty despite Damian's attempts to convince her she was the most beautiful person he'd ever seen and she didn't know how to feel considering that she already knew Bruce and Selina.

Thankfully the evening went well and now they were both extremely tired.

"That definitely could've gone a lot worse." Raven commented. She glanced at Damian who had a small smile on his face.

"I agree. They approve, even Pennyworth." Raven knew that was hard to achieve. Alfred had been cautious about Raven when Damian started becoming friends with her and it took Raven a while to get through that barrier.

"I'm going to have a shower, we can watch something if you want, I'll let you pick?" Damian asked. Raven flashed him a smile and nodded.

Raven remembered that she meant to ask how the shower works. She had only ever had a bath and the showers at school were not like typical showers. She hadn't heard Damian turn the water on yet and it had only been a few seconds since he walked in there.

She opened the door hoping to find him still somewhat dressed, which he was, he was only lacking a top. Raven's eyes widened at him.

Damian glanced over at her before smirking. "Like what you see Raven?" She had never seen him without a shirt or anything. She was not admiring the muscles though (he is more lean than anything.)

"No, no I don't. At least not the parts I'm looking at." Raven responded. Her face had turned into a sad expression. Damian realised that she was actually looking at his scars. He was covered in scars. His expression softened and he walked up to Raven and embraced her.

Her eyes began to water and she knew she was likely to cry. She began to sob and get her tears on Damian's face as well, considering they were nearly the same height.

Damian realised this and kissed her cheek and stroked her back. She began to relax but Damian couldn't help that growing feeling of guilt in his chest from emerging.

Raven pulled away and rested her forehead on his while holding her hands on his cheeks. "Can I ask... what happened? Why do you have so many?" Raven knew Damian's childhood was probably more traumatic than her own but he never confided within anyone. To her surprise he nodded, albeit very slowly.

"When I was born I was born into a group of people called the League of Assassins. My grandfather led the group with my mother as his right hand." He took a deep breath and held onto Raven like she was going to storm away. He denounced that thought after Raven gave him a peck on his cheek as if she knew what he was thinking. "They taught me how to fight and kill. I never did kill tho and for that, they punished me with lashes and being locked in a small room with no food or water for 2 days. When I was 10 I saw all of them get massacred by mercenaries and my mother sent me to my father... She came back to try and make me return to the League. I chose my path and fought against her, she died in a plane crash after trying to run away." At this point even Damian was shedding tears.

Raven quietly listened, to her this all sounded like some action movie but she could detect his sincerity. She now knew why he didn't fit in like her. They basically had no childhoods and had no social skills. That's why they connected to easily, because they were the same, in a way.

"Damian..."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I just thought that once I said anything you... you would leave me. You wouldn't want anything to do with me." Damian looked down in sadness and Raven could see a tear fall from his face.

She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him before resting her head to the side of his. "I would never leave you. I don't care that you were in a group of killers, you're not a killer. You are a good person, I just know you don't deserve there scars. You don't deserve this pain."

Damian buried his neck into her hair and held on tight as if she'd disappear at any moment. He felt he did deserve this pain, he didn't know why entirely but Raven almost convinced him otherwise.

"I love you Damian, I know your past has been hard. Mine was too, you know that from how I used to live. But you have changed and you have become the man I love, you are better now." Raven pulled away and smiled at him whilst holding his face. Damian smiled back and caressed her waist gently.

"I love you too Raven. You were always the one and only person that understands me. You make me better." Their smiles widened. The both of them felt truly and completely loved, something they only really felt around each other.

Damian decided he could skip a shower and headed to bed with Raven. They ended up watching a horror film. Raven always held onto Damian every time there was a scary part which put a smile on Damian's face. After the film ended they fell asleep in each other's arms.

Raven was happy she knew about Damian's past and that they were really that close to each other. She felt that he didn't deserve any of the pain or punishments. Above all she was happy that her boyfriend really did trust her more than anyone else and she could trust him the same way.

They promised each other that the two would make sure they have a bright future together. Raven would rather die than see Damian's past come back. She knew how much it would hurt him and hurt her. They would do anything for each other.
