Exam day. The day both Damian and Raven had been dreading. Needless to say they studied like mad. Damian had lost count of the times he had to put Raven to bed because she fell asleep. Raven also had times where she would just wake Damian up so they could go to bed without her trying to lift him up.

They were both pretty nervous. But, at the end of the day they felt good. They were placed in different rooms to stop any sort of cheating. Not that either of them needed to.

Once it was done they were marked straight away. It was easier this way as only two papers had to be marked. Whereas on a normal exam day, around 60 people needed their exams marked.

The teachers got what they expected out of the two. Both getting nearly 100%. Raven actually did a little better than Damian. A minor blow to his ego. They managed to breathe a sigh of relief after that though. They no longer had to go to school and they could live a quiet life in the apartment.

Damian, Raven and Titus.

Or so they thought.

"Well, that was easier than expected." Damian said. The anger, though mostly fake, was definitely showing through his voice.

"Tell me about it. I got two marks more than you." Raven said, an amused smile on her face.

"Don't get too ahead of yourself, Raven. You might not get to watch that movie you wanna see."

"Oh? And you'd be fine of robbing your own girlfriend of enjoyment."

"I think you're getting plenty at my expense. It seems fair to me." He was sounding more and more serious. Raven was screaming in her head. She only had to wait five more minutes and then they were home, she could take control without causing a scene.

"You wouldn't."

"Try me." Damian said with a mischievous smile.

"I'll try you. Heir to the demon." An ominous and raspy voice said.

Damian and Raven both looked behind them round eyed, there was a man there. He had a katana and a kimono. Japanese. Who was he?

He knew Damian's title. Did he know the Al Ghuls. He didn't think they had any Japanese connections.

The man's demeanour looked calm, calculated and cold. He looked like he could kill at any time. He had black long hair that went down past his shoulders. It was tied up. His face was pale. Almost as pale as Raven's. He wore a black outfit and stood with a straight posture.

"Who the hell are you?!" Damian asked as he moved Raven behind her.

"You can call me... Akai Shi." The man, Aki Shi said.

"What do you want?" Damian said. He was getting into a fighting position just as Akai Shi did.

Akai Shi's eyes glowed red as did his katana. His stance was intense. Damian couldn't see anyway to get past it. This man was clearly a strong fighter. Most likely a former samurai.

"To fight you... Maybe kill you..." Akai Shi said menacingly.

"Leave Raven out of this. Even if you want to kill me. She doesn't have anything to do with this." Raven looked on with fear for Damian's life. She didn't want to leave Damian but she can't fight. If he told her to run she had to. She would only be a burden to him in a fight.

"Very well... I'll leave her be."

Akai Shi dashed forward with insane speed and immediately cut Damian's arm. Damian couldn't even react. The speed was insane.

Damian tried to throw some punches and a few kicks but all were dodged.

After a minute had passed, Damian was on the floor bleeding profusely. Raven watched on in horror. She wanted to go to him but he might kill them both. Even if he didn't mean to kill her.

"Tell me... Damian Wayne... what do you want?" Akai Shi asked.

"To live with Raven. To make her happy. To have a normal life with her." Damian said with little breath.

Akai Shi just seemed to look at him. His expression hadn't changed at all. Even in the fight he looked stoic. An unknown emotion sitting behind his red eyes.

"Enough then... you may have your wish... but I will be visiting Nanda Parbat... Afterwards I will return and further determine you as a threat." He said before he disappeared instantly, right before their eyes.

Raven ran to Damian and helped him up. As soon as they got home she laid him down on the bed while fixing up his wounds.

"You alright, Dami?" Raven asked, worried.

"I am if you are."

"I'm ok. I'm more worried about you. I just saw..." Raven looked down in sadness. She didn't want to say what she was thinking. Fortunately she didn't have to. Damian gave her a warm kiss in reassurance. Raven simply smiled.

"I'm ok. Believe me. I won't die. I wouldn't leave you."

"I know." Raven said as she embraced him. She thought she heard him groan in pain but she was not letting go. She looked down at the ring Damian gave her and promised herself she'd protect him.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"Damian?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm smarter than you." Raven said with a laugh.

"Oh don't you dare...!" Damian exclaimed whilst laughing.
