The castle was certainly crowded. Sir Harry could see why Pansy suggested staying away. Still, he managed to eventually make his way to the armory. Thinking it over, he decided someone who knew where Lady Luna was had to be there.
And who better than Sir Seamus, standing in the doorway to greet him.
"Hiya, Harry." Sir Seamus had never been too formal, and Sir Harry, in that moment, was grateful.
"Hey," he greeted back.
"Chaos, init? I mean, that fire! Did you see the fire?"
"Uh, yeah. I saw the fire." He wished there hadn't been a fire in the first place. "Have you seen Lady Luna?"
"Luna? Yeah, she was in the throne room. Guarding the king," Sir Seamus explained. "I think she was using that sword I always saw displayed. Like, what happened to hers anyway--"
"Thanks, Seamus!" Sir Harry interrupted. Hurriedly, he turned on his heels, and waved a quick goodbye.
Sir Harry pushed and shoved his way through the halls, apologizing along the way. He always thought their kingdom was big, but he had never really had it put into perspective.
Unfortunately, the throne room was locked when he arrived. The only person he knew who had a key was King Arthur -- and, according to Sir Seamus, he was inside.
He was met with the familiar feeling of not know what to do. He hated that feeling. It was as if it was always there, awaiting the perfect moment to strike.
Well, he supposed his only two options were to either bang on the door and cry out until it opened, or go and find Prince Ron and see what he could do about it. So, he chose to go with the latter.
Thankfully, the townsfolk had begun to get situated in the spare rooms, so the halls weren't nearly as crowded as before. Sir Harry wandered, but after awhile, he still had no clue as to where Ron was. Maybe he was locked inside the throne room, too. Maybe the entire royal family was. But, just as the thought came, he rounded a corner, and there stood Prince George.
"Thank the gods," Sir Harry let out in a whisper. Then, "Your Highness?"
A grin appeared on his face. "Ah, look who suddenly decided to appear! You know, everyone's got the suspicion that you might be a traitor."
Yikes. That definitely was not what he wanted nor needed right now. "Uh, not you, though, right?"
"Course not! If I were you, I would've run off into the forest too. I mean, practically all of the Malfoy knights ran off into the hills, all because of some strange looking black smoke!"
"Smoke?" said Sir Harry, stupidly.
"From the fire," replied George. "Everyone was shouting, saying it looked like a skull, and that we were all going to die."
It looked like a skull. A skull. Where had he seen a skull before? He knew he'd seen one, but couldn't quite remember.
Then, it hit him like a bolt of lightning during a wicked thunderstorm. Without saying another word, he whipped around, and left Prince George questioning in his tracks.
He could forget about the stupid sword. Right now, he just needed to make it to the hills -- to Draco, who had probably had that stupid black mark from Sir Harry's dream on his arm the entire time; the dark skull and snake that most definitely had something to do with Voldemort.
Maybe Draco had been on his side all along; maybe he was being controlled. Either way, something terrible was in the air, and Sir Harry didn't know if he'd be able to stop it before it destroyed something -- or moreso someone -- he cared about.
