"Hey, I was thinking," Sir Harry began. It'd been around a week since they'd gotten the basilisk's venom, and there'd been no sign of Voldemort. "Since we're not really doing anything, why don't we go see the lake?"
"The Black Lake? As in, the one that's in the Weasley Kingdom?" Draco looked at Sir Harry as though he were a mad man -- and, honestly, at this point, he probably was.
"Yeah, it's my favorite spot to think," he said. "I think you'd like it."
"We're totally gonna get caught," Draco said, but he seemed excited anyway.
"I wonder what people think happened to me."
"Love, at this point, you're probably known as a traitor."
There it was again -- love. Draco had used it many times since the first, and Sir Harry still hadn't managed to get used to it.
"Well, I also want to see my friends."
"I don't understand why you even came back here if you already had friends there," Draco wondered.
Sir Harry felt betrayed. "You of all people should know the answer to that."
"So you did come back for me. You're just like everyone else."
Sir Harry was more than confused. "But... We're actually together?"
"I never said that we weren't." And then Draco smiled at him.
"I'm not with you because you're royalty," Sir Harry clarified. "In fact, I'm with you despite that."
"I know," Draco said, leaning down to kiss Sir Harry lightly. "Now, the lake..."
Once again, Sir Harry was filled with excitement, as they made their way through the forest. Though, his heart was also filled with something else -- something that came from wanting to show Draco all of his most sacred spots.
"You sure this is alright?" Draco asked when they were nearly there. "Isn't there a border patrol?"
He'd forgotten all about that. "Yeah, but maybe they gave up on that?"
"I don't think people just give up on protecting a kingdom like that."
Sure enough, there were knights standing along the edge of the forest. However, one right ahead was slightly taller than the rest, and Sir Harry only knew one person who fit that description. However, he still took hold of Draco's hand as they approached.
The knight raised his visor. "Sir Harry? What's going on? Why are you--"
"Hi, Sir Cedric," he said, trying to sound lighthearted. "First things first, I'm not a traitor. And second, yes, I know I'm with Draco -- but he's not a threat either."
"We've come to see the lake," Draco said way too excitedly.
Sir Cedric's eyes fell to their connected hands, and he let out a scoff. "Oh my-- Sir Harry, tell me you did not run off and leave your kingdom for him!"
"Well, Ron's with one of his exes..." He nudged Draco's shoulder. "So I think you should probably worry more about that instead... Seeing as he's a prince, and all that."
"If King Arthur finds out about this--"
"He won't. And if he does..." Sir Harry calculated his next words carefully. "I don't really care. I mean, what's he gonna do anyway? De-knight me? Banish me from the kingdom? Those things have basically already been done, not formally, at least -- but still."
"So, I'm guessing after all of that, you just expect me to let you through?"
"Uh, yeah?"
"I should report you," he said seriously. "You've clearly been conspiring with the enemy during wartime."
