Sir Harry and Draco spent ages searching around the castle by themselves. They'd alerted the knights, but they were still on strike. And their friends had all taken the side against them.

"Hey, did you hear her?" Sir Harry said suddenly. "She called him Tom."

"Well, that was his name, before he changed," Draco said. "Tom Riddle."

"Oh. Do you think we'll ever find them?"

Draco sighed. "They'll probably find us first. I think she's gonna try to kill me--or try to make me switch sides. Either way, it's pretty bad."

"Maybe we should lure them," Sir Harry suggested.

"Now, how do you suppose we do that?"

"We could..." Sir Harry thought for a moment, then came up with the best solution ever. "We could have a party! Invite the whole town!"

Draco crossed his arms. "And if they inevitably don't show up?"

"We can still use it as an opportunity to alert everyone to be on the lookout."

"Great idea," Draco said and kissed Sir Harry lightly on the lips. "C'mon, let's get everything ready."

He then grabbed Sir Harry's hand and, without warning, began running off to the ballroom.

"Gods, I love this tree!" Draco said, and dropped Sir Harry's hand. He ran over to the tree, and wrapped his arms around it. "I thought about it, when I fell during battle. I was afraid it might die without my magic, so I focused what I had left into it."

"That's why you nearly died?" Sir Harry asked, dumbfounded. "To keep a tree alive?"

"It's not just a tree," Draco scoffed. "It's been here since the beginning; the castle was built around it. My father used to say that it was the backbone of the kingdom--that if it died, the kingdom would meet it's demise alongside it."

"That sounds like he was just trying to scare you," Sir Harry pointed out.

Draco turned around, and leaned back against the massive tree. "Well, it worked. Now I feel like it's my duty to protect it."

"I suppose that's kinda how I became a knight," Sir Harry said. "I've always felt like I needed to protect something--or someone. I'm not really sure."

"Interesting..." Draco trailed off, then clapped his hands and wandered off around the room. "So...what to do."

"We should get emerald green table cloths and maybe...black roses? Or is that a little too much?" Sir Harry said.

"How about black and red roses?" Then, Draco looked like he had an idea. "We could have gold accents on some table cloths and silver on others!"

"It would be, like, a combination of the kingdoms!" Sir Harry exclaimed.

"Maybe word will spread that it's a symbol of peace, or something," Draco said. "Though, I think us getting married would be an even bigger symbol."

"Wait-- are you--" Sir Harry's heart felt as though it would burst.

Draco shrugged him off with his hand. "No, I'm already married, silly. But, if you want--"

"Um, I'd like to, yeah," he said. "But not right this instant."

"So, are you saying you want to be engaged? How scandalous," Draco gasped.

"Well, it's not like we would be keeping it a secret from Astoria." Sir Harry whispered this time, stepping closer.

Draco was the one to close the gap between them, sweeping Sir Harry up into a passionate kiss. It didn't last long, before Draco pulled away, and said, "Let's plan this party before we make any more drastic decisions."
