It was still dark in and Dean laid on his back in an uncomfortable position on the table. Eyes wide open and a slight gap between his lips. He wasn’t breathing anymore. He didn’t feel anything. It was like vanished and was literally in the middle of nowhere right now. Then his eyes lit up with a blue light. It was bright shining and a shape of wings laid behind him on the table, touching his shoulders and stretching out almost twice his length. A slight light blue shone from the wings and the feathers were well visible and incredibly detailed. Then his chest went up and down in a fast movement and his lungs filled with air again. His eyes went back to normal and Dean could see and feel again. He breathed heavily and scanned the room with wide eyes. He found Crowley at the other side of the room watching him. Dean could see Crowley was walked slowly and doubtfully towards Dean. “Well, that was something.” He said when he realised Dean wasn’t going to go all angel man again. “What happened?” Dean asked rubbing his temples trying to fight the upcoming headache. “You don’t know?” Crowley asked. “No, I was out.” Dean said then realising why he was out in the first place. Fear filled his chest and his legs began shaking. “What did wings say?” Crowley said. Dean’s eyes shot up. Crowley rolled his eyes. “I could sense the communication smartass.” He said. “Cas said goodbye…….” Dean said. Crowley moved towards Dean. “I’m sorry to hear that.” Crowley said. “Jesus, Crowley, we should just shut this all down. Without Cas it surely is no use. He is the key to our success and now he is…” “Dead?” Crowley continued Dean’s sentence. A tear rolled down Dean’s cheek and he swallowed. “Don’t talk about him like that.” “Dean, don’t you get it? We have to continue. That would be what Cas wanted us to do.” Crowley said. “And how can I trust you?” Dean felt anger boiling up in his chest. “You just had to be selfish again, right?! If you wouldn’t have released Abigor from hell, Cas wouldn’t have been captured and he would’ve been here with me! We would be happy! God damn it! We would’ve been happier than we are now! And it’s all your fault.” Crowley swallowed and took a step back. The only thing that was to be seen in Dean’s eyes was anger and hurt. He was blinded by it. He took the demon blade from the inside pocket of his coat and pointed it at Crowley. “I’m going to enjoy this so much!!” Dean whispered with wild eyes. Crowley took a step back. “Dean. Don’t.” he spoke, but Dean didn’t listen. He lifted the blade and tightened his grip around it and swung it at Crowley. It was almost as if Crowley could see his life flashing by before his eyes. The blade came closer. The door bursted open and Sam came running in. he ran towards his brother and grabbed his wrist. The blade was inches away from Crowley’s chest. Crowley was stood there paralyzed. Dean screamed and turned around. Sam took a step back and let Dean go. Then everything went back to normal. Dean’s eyes became sad and broken and he dropped to the floor. Sam sunk down next to him. “What happened?” “Cas said goodbye. He’s dead.” Dean said bitterly. Sam didn’t know what to say. Then he finally spoke. “That can’t be. He can’t be. Did you feel him die?” “No, but he said goodbye.” Dean said. “Dean, family doesn’t end with blood.” Sam spoke. Dean’s eyes shot up and there was a sparkle of hope to be found in them. he looked at Sam. “You think so?” He said. “Yes, I do. You would’ve felt him dying. As long as you didn’t feel it he isn’t dead.” Sam whispered. “Then we have to get him out of there.” “Yes, you do.” A voice from behind spoke. They all turned around. Crowley rolled his eyes. “An angel again! And not even a useful one. What do you want, titanic?” Balthasar grinned at Crowley and walked towards Dean. “Cas is still alive and they are not going to kill him. They’re going to do much worse things to him. We have to be fast to be able to help him. I know a way into heaven. Hold tight.” Balthasar held out his hand towards Dean. Dean reached out, then stopped. “Why would I trust you?” He asked cautiously. Balthasar sighed. “Because, I’m the only one who can get Cas out of heaven and I’m the only one who can get you in and out unnoticed.” Dean still had his doubts but took Balthasar’s hand at last. He looked behind him at Sam and Crowley. “Are you joining me, or what?” he said. Crowley rolled his eyes and slammed his hand onto Balthasar’s. Sam still looked confused and had doubts. “Please Sam, I want Cas back and I need you with me.” Sam put his hand onto Balthasar’s arm and they felt a whirlwind streaking against their cheeks. Dean felt the power and his clothes were going everywhere. The whirlwind seemed to never stop and a slight moment, Dean started to panic, but he couldn’t let go of Balthasar. Everything went dark and suddenly all kinds of lights were flashing before his eyes, following the rhythm of the whirlwind. Then he realised it must be because they were teleporting. When that thought came to mind, they landed somewhere surrounded by clouds and a thick fog. Dean could barely see Balthasar’s hand he was still holding. “Sam, you there?” “Yes, Dean still here.” “And you Crowley?” “That damn angels landed on my foot!” They heard Crowley growl half to himself, half to the others. They heard Balthasar laugh. “I hope you felt that! That’s how I think of you.” He said jokingly, but a hint of seriousness shone through. Crowley, who hadn’t noticed the seriousness, snorted and tried to find Balthasar’s foot to step on, but of course he couldn’t see anything, just like the others. Then they saw a source of light appearing far, far away, but the longer they kept looking at it, the bigger it became. Dean and Sam were breathless and Crowley was almost throwing up because heaven made him sick. Then they suddenly were surrounded by bushes. They walked out and came into what seemed to be a backyard. A great mansion stood at the top of a pair of stairs and they walked towards the door. “Are we…” “Yes, we are in Cas’ idea of heaven, but of course they wouldn’t keep him here.” Then suddenly the sky grew dark and there was no light anymore. Not even the stars shone. “Well, Cas’ idea of night is a lot different than mine.” Sam said. “This isn’t heaven. They found us. Quick, grab my hand, we have to get out of here.” They all tried to find Balthasar and when they were all holding his arm, they disappeared. The sound of fluttering wings in the background faded, together with some curses.
