The first one to say something when they felt ground underneath their feet was Balthasar. “Well, that was fun, now we’re in my heaven. I don’t think we have to be in my heaven. If we want to find Cas, I thing we have to be in God’s heaven. That’s the only place they could’ve kept him unnoticed.” Balthasar thought out loud. “What?! He’s in God’s heaven? And how the hell are we going to get there?” Dean panicked. “Dean, I don’t think it's appropriate to curse with hell when we’re in heaven.” Crowley stated dryly. Dean shot him a glare and Crowley muttered something that sounded like a sarcastic apology. “Come on guys! Maybe we should go look for Cas, instead of just bitching around at each other!” Sam said. Balthasar sighed. “One problem… I have absolutely no idea how to get into God’s heaven. Only a few angels can pass through those gates, and, surprisingly, I’m not one of them.” Dean thought. “Wait, but if we’re in heaven now, don’t we have a heaven for ourselves now too?” “Yes, that might be….” Balthasar said. “But how would that help us find Cas? None of our heavens would be exactly God’s too.” Sam said. “No, but I know what my heaven would be like at the moment.” Dean said while he turned his head to hide his red cheeks. Crowley’s face lit up. “So he really does like him?” Crowley said smirking. “I thought you already knew?” Dean said. “No, I had a feeling, but now you proved me right.” He said. Dean rolled his eyes. “So, how does this travelling from heaven to heaven shit work?” Dean asked Balthasar. “You just think about your heaven and the things you desire most.” “Okay, grab my hand. We’re going to Cas.” Dean said. He closed his eyes and felt everybody grabbing his wrist. He thought about Cas and only Cas. He tried to shut the rest out, to prevent them from going to anything else but Cas. When Dean opened his eyes, they were in a graveyard. The rest was looking confused. “I don’t hope this is your heaven Dean, if it is, you should come live with me in hell. It’s a much nicer place than here.” Crowley joked. Dean rolled his eyes but didn’t say a thing. “It has to be somewhere around here.” They heard Balthasar mumbling to himself. “What are we looking for Balthasar?” Sam asked. We look for something extraordinary. We need to find something that doesn’t fit with the rest. Dean scanned the graveyard and saw something. Why in heaven would there be a red rose in a dead graveyard. It smelled there and a lot of stones were broken and damaged. But there was one lonely rose in the middle of the graveyard. Standing alone and, but the longer he looked at the rose, the more he felt the sad pride it radiated into its surroundings. He could feel the pain of the rose and the damage it was done to. Dean swallowed. “I think I found it.” He said. The rest came to him and he pointed at the red rose. Balthasar swallowed and walked over to the rose. When the touched it, it shone a weak golden light onto Balthasar. He breathed heavily and felt the power coming from the rose. The golden light expanded and became almost too bright to look at. They all covered their eyes to shut the light out and placed themselves steady for the upcoming wind, which was becoming stronger by second. They saw Dean walking over to the rose and touching it. The light became almost white and after that it immediately disappeared and an iron gate appeared, covered with blue, red and golden roses. “Red for courage, Blue for patience and gold for love. And do you guys see the crystal one in the middle? That one stands for purity and innocence. Those are the purposes god has for the world you guys live in, but he isn’t there yet.” Balthasar laughed at his last comment and the others stood there in complete and utter silence, mouths dropped and eyes wide open. The only one that also smiled at the thought of God’s intentions was Dean. His eyes were glistening and he thought that Cas wouldn’t be that far away anymore made him so happy, that this was his first smile in a long while he actually meant. He walked towards the gates and touched the iron. The gates swung open as easily as a feather could be moved by the wind and Dean stepped through them. The rest followed soon and as soon as they all were on the other side the gates disappeared behind them and they were in a long, white hall. “So, they really are here.” Balthasar said. They all could feel the sad tone in his voice. “What do you mean?” Sam asked cautiously. “Since God went away, stories were told among the angels that angels had broken into God’s heaven and they rearranged everything. This place used to be full of life, love and innocence. Now it is like a torture machine for the angels. Like Cas has told you all before, angles are meant to obey, not to give orders. Ever since angels stood up to give orders heaven has become a mess.” Balthasar swallowed. His heart ached with pain. He loved his father. He was also angry he left, but he realised that God would have some good reasons to leave. God would never leave his sons helpless alone and wondering. He felt a hand on his shoulder. When he looked up he saw the brown eyes form Sam. “It’ll be alright. He’ll be alright. He’ll come back.” He said. Balthasar smiled sadly and hoped for Sam’s words to come true. They walked along the hall and looked through every window they saw. Most of the rooms were unoccupied. When they finished the hallway, they pushed the big doors at the end of the hall open and saw another hall appearing. “How big is this thing?” Crowley sighed. “I have no idea, but I can see other doors on the sides, so I think it’s like a maze. We have to find Cas as soon as possible, so I suggest we split up.” “We can’t do that Dean, what if one of us gets hurt?” Dean looked at Sam with longing eyes and spoke. “ I know the risks, but we have to find Cas. Maybe we can split up in groups of two? I’ll go with Crowley and you can go with Balthasar.” Sam thought about that. “Okay, but I actually still don’t agree.” Sam said sternly. Dean rolled his eyes and grabbed Crowley at the collar and dragged him towards the first door on the left. “You guys can go right, I’ll go left.” Dean pushed the doors and was immediately blinded by the unexpected white light.
