Chapter 38:

Three months flies by really really quick. Today, Taylor and I leave for Kentucky! Of course, we are done shooting Lab Rats for about 4 months.

Oh yeah, what has happened these past 3 months. Gosh, let me think.

Adam fell off his bike and sprained his wrist. I know what you're thinking, "Didn't he just get his cast off?" And yes. That was also the same wrist he broke. The child is indestructable.

Kira got a new job babysitting Bandit Way. Yes, I did cry when I found out my sister is a nanny for Gerard's Way kid. I sobbed actually and so did Billy. She really likes it though, and she's not a creepy stalker anymore... Maybe...

Blake is same old Blake, still dating Alli Simpson, still hanging out with Cody. There really isn't anything else new.

"Saphira I have your bin of summer clothes!" Blake exclaims, setting them on the floor beside me. "Thanks." I mutter.

We're listening to music and packing up for Kentucky.

Battery by Metallica comes on my iPod. "Well, well, well.... Saphira's a Metalhead after all!" Blake teases. I quickly shut it off because Mom doesn't like it. I only listen to thrash metal when Mom isn't in the house. She takes my iPod away and tries to delete the songs, but luckily, Blake and I have the same Apple ID so I just re download them.

More Than Words by Extreme comes on.

We start dancing and folding clothes.

"So when do you leave?" Blake asks. "Tonight." I grin. He stops.

"Saphira Avery Molloy you are leaving tonight and you don't have anything packed?!" He exclaims.

"I forgot. All of Satan's stuff is packed and ready to go. All my horse stuff is packed. I just forgot real clothes." I shrug.

He shakes his head and digs out my shoes.

----

I zipline over to Billy's house and knock on the window. He opens up so I climb in.

"Sup." He smiles. "Well I'm leaving for Kentucky in 4 hours. Satan and Duncan are already on the trailer. I figured you might want to hang out before I go?" I ask.

"Of course. I'll go get Chicken." He laughs, brushing the wrinkles out of his black shirt.

"Meet you outside in 5!" I exclaim.

I zipline in, get to my room, then grab my dog. I'm already ready with some gray shorts, a funny black shirt that has a broken disco ball with a bunch of people standing over it. One of the little people is saying "Well. Do we panic now?".   Then I throw on some pink  converse.

Digs and I walk out the door.

Billy is waiting by our gates. I let myself out and we start walking.

"So what are you doing when you get to Kentucky?" He asks.

"Well I'll be moving into our apartment, I'll be settling Satan in, and we might go see a movie or see what concerts there are." I grin.

"If there's a Metallica concert, you are coming back to California to pick me up." He says sternly. I raise and eyebrow and keep walking.

"Diggs is sure going to miss Chicken. But he'll have fun with Tucker." I sigh.

"Stop talking about it that way. You're not leaving forever. Just a month. Remember that time I left for a while when Lab Rats first started? We went on a tour for like 3 months doing meet and greets. It will be exactly like that." Billy tells me.

I nod. Suddenly I hear a lot of screams. We turn to see a now black haired oversize Australian boy, running for his life from a sea of fans.

"Is that?"

"Oh my god it is. Michael Gordon Clifford! What are you doing?" I shout.

"If you want to live you'd better follow me!!" He shrieks.

I sling Diggs over my shoulder and start running. Billy shrugs and scoops up little Snickers.

We make it back to my house and slam the gates. "I'll be in my house..." I grumble, setting Diggs on the ground and walking inside. Michael casually waltzes in.

"I just have one question Clifford. Why do you think running around downtown L.A. is a good idea?" I ask.

"Well I heard you were going to Kentucky today so I had to say goodbye." He laughs. I slap my forehead.

"You are nuttier than Bowie, Michael Clifford." I sigh.

He just smiles.

----

"See ya in a month Unger." I say, wrapping him in a bear hug.

"See ya in a month Shorty." He laughs, kissing my forehead.

"Flight 654 to Lexington, Kentucky is now boarding." The flight attendant crackles over the loudspeaker.

I pull away from the hug, make sure I have Taylor, and start walking to the gates. I stop in front and turn to wave at Billy. He waves back. I turn back around, take my ticket back and walk towards the plane.

I plug in my ear buds, resting my head on the window as the plane takes off.

2 hours, a few bags of peanuts, and a can of sprite later, I am getting off of the plane and into Lexington airport.

Taylor and I collect our luggage and the dogs, then head to the rent a car station. She ends up renting a large black pickup truck.

"Ready to go see the apartment?" Taylor asks.

"Of course I am!" I squeak, shoving Diggs, and my bags into the back seat, then sitting up front.

She carefully pulls out of the parking lot, then takes off down the road.

The apartment complex is only 5 minutes from KHP, so that is an added bonus.

I text Billy before we head inside.

"Made it to the apartment safe. Hope all is well at home. :)"

He texts back immediately after I've sent it.

"That's awesome! Now if you'll excuse me, ur buddy Michael is still pestering me."

"Ask him about a concert. He should clear out right away lol." I hit send and put my phone in my pocket.

I grab my suitcase and the dog, and start walking into the building. Taylor follows me to the elevator.

"They've already sent me the keys. We're in 2D." She grins.

"Thank god we're on the second floor." I mutter. The elevator dings. We unload and head to the apartment. She opens the door, to reveal a blinding white wall, with wood floors, and black furniture.

"We're going to need a lot of lint rollers." I groan as the dogs immediately settle down on the couch.

"Let's go see your room." She tells me. I follow her to the stairs. It's a small loft, so there is two stories.

My room has a big bed with a black comforter, a table with a lamp, a dresser, and a dog bed.

"It's perfect!" I grin, hugging Taylor, then going to unpack.

Kentucky appears to be off to a good start!
