In Love With My Best Friend (Billy Unger)

Chapter 7

"This is your captain speaking. We are experiencing some turbulence, so faster your seat belts and sit down please." The pilot said over the intercom. We were on the plane to Ireland.

There was a sudden lurch and the plane started plummeting . Billy grabbed my hand and i screamed with fear. The plane plunged into the water.

Billy's POV

We opened the door and us and the rest of the crew swam out. And strangely so did some packs of supplies. "Guys! Start swimming!" Kelli choked. We came upon a piece of wreckage and climbed on. "Do we have everyone?" Spencer asked. "Me, Spence, Mateus, Tyrel, Kelli. Wait. Where's Saphira?!?!!!" I cried. "She's gone! She must've gone down with the plane!" Tyrel started crying. We all let a few tears fall. "No!" I sobbed. I cried until we hit land. My best friend and my girlfriend were gone.

Saphira's POV

The waves crashed against me as i treaded water. I tried not to think what was under me, but i couldn't help but feel an unsettling feeling. It was only then that i realized that my friends were not with me. But, I couldn't think of that now, seeing that i was in the middle of an ocean, so I paddled until i hit shore. Exhausted, i collapsed on the beach. But suddenly i caught a glimpse of something on the horizon and my energy was restored. I took off running.

As it came into distance i noticed it was a horse. No wait. It was a band of horses! Whoa! I walked up to them slowly and noticed the black horse standing at the front. He looked at me with interest and walked up to me. I thought he looked really familiar to my old horse who drowned when our plane crashed into the ocean. Deja Vu anyone?!? He then bowed and let me climb on his back. Then it hit me. It was my old horse! "Alaric?" I asked. He nodded. "Oh my god! I thought you were dead!" I yelled and hugged him. "Now, Let's turn this island upside down!" I laughed and he cantered away.

"Yes Dexter, you do break the heel in half and tie it to bamboo!" I said and threw my homemade spear. It struck a banana and i handed it to the little monkey.

After that i made a hammock and fell asleep in a tree.

(Meanwhile, on the other side of the island....)

Billy's POV

I'm so upset over Saphira. She's my girlfriend! I was supposed to protect her! "I know how you feel." Spencer patted me on the shoulder. They knew about Saph and i dating after we got caught kissing yesterday.

"You think she might be alive still?" I murmured and stared off into the sunset. "I don't know. She could be." he said to me. We had to fall asleep on the ground because none of us are very handy with survival skills. If only we had cell service out here.

Saphira's POV

I woke up to sunlight streaming onto my face. Alaric was sleeping with his band, and Dexter was laying on my lap. I yawned and got up, wondering how i was going to shower or get clean for that matter. An elephant walked past and i got a crazy idea.

The elephant started spraying me off as i scrubbed myself down. The annoying part was, the elephant stole my clothes. "Sasha! Drop it!" I commanded. She dropped them on my head.

It was getting really hot so i made myself an outfit just like the one Katy Perry had in the Roar music video, but the skirt was a bit longer. I decided i would have to build some kind of shelter, so i decided i would want a giant extravagant clubhouse. I set to work making tools.

Billy's POV

We had a memorial service for Saphira today. It's Day 2 on this stupid island by the way. After Mateus cut his hand when he fell of a rock during the memorial service, I had to call a meeting.

"Look Guys. Saph may be dead but we have to stick together if we are going to survive! I miss her so much too! It's Day 2 on this island though, and look at us! We look half dead! IF you want to survive, we are going to have to find the basics! Mateus, you are in charge of water, Kelli, you are in charge of food, Tyrel, I'm putting you in charge of firewood, And Spencer, you're helping me with shelter. Now, We'll get everything and go to where Mateus is with the water. Okay?" I asked. "Yeah!" They yelled.

"Alrighty then troops! MOVE OUT!" I yelled and we ran into the woods. Everyone else left, so it was just Spencer and me. "Nice pep talk." He laughed. "Thank you. I thought it was very motivating. Let's go get the materials." I walked off. He crashed after me yelling for me to wait up.

"Hey Spence? I think i hear something." I called. He walked over to me with his arms full. "Well what was it?" He asked. I heard another sound that sounded like thunder. Then, I froze as a shadow was getting ever closer. "Hey Billy?" Spencer asked. "What?" I asked, my voice laced with fear. He didn't have time to finish as the animal jumped out of the shadows. I jumped into Spencer's arms with fear, while both of us were screaming like there was no tomorrow. I braced myself for the horrible death that was about to come.

Saphira's POV

I was in the middle of building my house which was coming along great. "Hey Dex? Could i have my coconut?" I asked. He didn't do anything or respond. "Dexter?" I asked and looked around. Dexter had disappeared! Suddenly, I heard screaming that sounded like two 5 year old girls. In a panicked frenzy i ran into the woods.

When i reached the area of the screaming. I saw 2 boys, screaming at the top of their lungs, with their backs up against a tree. I stiffed a laugh as a few coconuts dropped on their heads. Then i saw little Dexter in a stalking pose, stalking the boys. "Dexter! Get over here!" I hissed.

Then, he actually had the nerve to stick his tongue out me. "You sassy little monkey! Get over here and stop terrorizing those boys that look like Billy and Spencer! You know their dead!" I laughed and scooped him up.

I ran away before the boys had time to look at me.

Billy's POV

I know she's out there somewhere and I have to find her...
