Chapter 25

Davina's pov

"Okay so I'm due in work in the next half hour so I need to head home and get changed but I'm just gonna run out to my car and get some toys for Dove so she doesn't get bored" I say to Kol "okay, I'll stay here with her" he says gesturing to where Dove is quietly sat on the floor watching tv. 

I bend down and give her a little kiss on the forehead before exiting his apartment and heading down to my car where I have a bag of Dove's toys which I take with me so she doesn't get bored.

I get to my car and get the bag from the trunk of the car and head back up to Kol's apartment and walk right in "right this bag has most of her favourite toys so if she gets bored just give them to her" I explain to Kol who walks over to me "I got it love" he replies and I set the bag down on the couch before bending down to pick up Dove.

"Okay baby girl I'm heading off now as I have work but Kol here will look after you until I come back to get you so be a good girl" I say "okay mama" she replies making me smile and I plant a kiss on her forehead before handing her to Kol.

I grab my bag and head to the door, I feel Kol following me so when I reach the door I turn "bye baby" I say giving Dove a kiss on the cheek "bye bye" she says with a little wave making me smile before I turn around and leave.

Kol's pov

Once Davina's gone I shut the door "right what should we do hey?" I ask Dove gently bouncing her and she just shrugs at me "you hungry?" I ask making her nod "alright then let's get you something to eat" I say heading to the kitchen.

"Ban-Ban" she says pointing to the banana's on the counter "you want some banana's?" I ask "yes" she replies with a nod "okay" I say setting her down in the high chair before getting a small bowl from one of the cabinets and then proceeding to chop up some banana's for her.

Once I've done chopping up banana's I scoop up the banana slices and put them in the bowl and then set the bowl down in front of Dove "there you go" I say "tank you" she replies sweetly making me smile "you're welcome sweetheart" I respond before turning around to start cleaning up.

1 hour later...

Dove is sat on the living room floor playing with the toys Davina left for her so I'm just keeping an eye on her as I watch tv when she suddenly gets up and starts toddling away "hey missy where are you going?" I ask and she just giggles and looks back at me before continuing to toddle away making me chuckle as I get up and get down on my knees and start crawling after her "I'm gonna get you" I say making her giggle as I chase after her on my hands and knees.

"Ahh!" she shrieks as I near her and bolts to the left "hey come here you" I say as I continue chasing her only for her to giggle as she runs off. "For a 1 year old you sure run fast" I say making her turn to me and flash me a cheesy little grin making me chuckle as I reach her and grab her making her shriek as I stand up and spin her around making her burst into a fit of giggles.

I stop "juice" she says bouncing in my arms making me chuckle "alright I'll get you some juice" I say heading off to the kitchen. I walk up to the fridge and grab her sippy cup that Davina left, it's already filled with juice. I hand the sippy cup to Dove who takes it with both hands and thanks me with a smile before starting to drink from it.

I shut the fridge and head back to the living room and sit down on the couch, setting her on my knee and she just leans back against me as she drinks her juice. She grabs the tv remote and hands it to me and points to the tv which is on but she wants me to change it "alright what do you want to watch?" I ask as I start flicking through the channels.
