Chapter 45

The first part of this chapter takes place after Davina leaves Mystic Falls and after Kol and Davina head on an adventure to find her mother

Last night......

No one's pov

Stefan arrived back at the boarding house, slamming the door open and stumbling in. Damon, casually sat with one leg crossed over the other while reading fifty shades of grey, paused and looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Bad night, brother?" he teased which Stefan ignored as he staggered into the living room, swiping an opened bottle of bourbon from the cabinet and pouring himself a glass.

"Where's Davina and Dove?" he questioned as he sipped on his bourbon as he turned to face his brother "somewhere, now mind telling me what's gotten you in such a huff? Did you have a lovers tiff with Klaus?" Damon teased making Stefan scowl.

"I have just been made aware of the fact, an original has been sniffing around my daughter. Klaus has a younger brother" Stefan informed his brother who went wide eyed at this information before groaning. "You mean to tell me? There's another one of them" he said making Stefan nod.

"Yeah and it turns out Klaus had him get close to Davina, to follow and watch her in case she became a trouble and to use her against me if I pissed Klaus off. I never even knew she was seeing someone" Stefan ranted making Damon. "I had an idea, she was seeing someone and I think Caroline did too" Damon replied making Stefan turn to him.

"Since when?" he asked "since I came home one day and she smelt of sex and I could smell a male's scent so I assumed she had hooked up with some guy. Didn't think it was a boyfriend though" Damon explained Stefan scowl and shake his head.

"I should've known Klaus would have someone spying on her but at least the two are no longer together" Stefan replied taking a sip of his drink "so where is she exactly?" he asked "she left" Damon replied making Stefan frown.

"She came home in tears, saying she was stupid, that she was made a fool and all this. She said she needed to get away from here and that she needed a break so she packed up some of her and Dove's things and took off in my car which I leant to her" Damon explained "I suppose her being away from here is for the best. At least she's safe from Klaus and that son of a bitch brother of his" Stefan replied sighing as he sat down.

"She called after asking for Dove's favorite blanket which she's lost and during the call, I tried to convince her to turn around and come back because of the rain storm but she refused, stating it was too late to turn back and that she wasn't far away from a motel" Damon explained "so you know where she is?" Stefan questioned making his brother nod "she's at this motel" he replied pulling out his phone and showing him the picture Davina sent him of the motel, she had stopped at.

"Perhaps I should go out to her? I've been gone for sometime and never got the chance to see her upon coming back here because of Klaus and Rebekah" Stefan stated but Damon shook his head. "I'd give her some space, Stefan. She'll be in touch and she'll come home when she's ready" he said making Stefan sigh.

"Now tell me what happened at the school with Klaus and his sister?" Damon asked curiously "Rebekah went ballistic with Elena over the necklace I gave her which turns out to belong to Rebekah. Elena doesn't have the necklace as Katherine somehow got hold of it and she's dead so we don't know where she kept the necklace" Stefan explained "Klaus compelled me to kill two students and even went as far as to compel me to attack Elena. I lunged at her and drank from her just enough to make her pass out" he explained looking down, angry that Klaus made him hurt people, including Elena even if he wasn't her biggest fan right now since she kept ticking him off with her attitude towards his daughter.
