Chapter 24

No one's pov

Davina pulled up at the park with Dove in the back seat and got out, shutting the door behind her. She walked around the car to Dove's side and opened the door, getting Dove out and shutting the door.

She made her way over to the park over to the baby swings and Dove instantly got excited and clapped her hands as Davina put her in one of the baby swings. Davina smiled at her daughter as she gently began to push her making a giggle escape Dove's lips as the swing went forward.

Dove gripped the bar handles of the baby swing seat she was in and she squealed, kicking her little legs as she felt the wind brush against her face as her mother pushed her when suddenly the hairs on the back of Davina's neck stood up making her pause and grab hold of the swing to stop it moving making Dove frown and look back at her mother wondering why she had stopped pushing her.

Davina looked around the park as she felt like someone was watching her and it unnerved her "mama" Dove spoke making Davina look at her daughter "sorry baby girl" she apologised before gently beginning to push her again making the smile return on Dove's face.

Davina kept pushing her daughter in the swing but also kept looking around, still feeling like she was being watched which she didn't like so she pulled out her phone and before she could register what she was doing she called the first person that appeared on her contact list which just happened to be Kol since he was the last person she had talked too.

"Hello darling" Kol spoke as he instantly answered the phone "hi Kol so this is going to sound completely random but could you come and meet me at the park?" Davina asked nervously "why of course, I'll come right away" he replied making her let out a sigh of relief "great, thank you" she replied "is everything alright?" he asked instantly knowing there was something wrong by the tone of her voice. "I'm probably just going crazy but I think I'm being watched" Davina replied making Kol instantly bolt from his apartment as he grew concerned.

"I'm on my way, stay where you are" Kol informed her "okay" she replied before the signal went dead and the call cut off as the wind whistled around her with a slight chilly breeze but it wasn't cold. The sun was beaming and the air was warm with a little breeze from the slight wind.

"Row, row row your boat gently down the stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily. Life is but a dream" Davina began to sing as she kept pushing Dove who squealed and clapped upon hearing her mother sing one of her favourite nursery rhymes. "Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream if you see a crocodile don't forget to scream" Davina sang making Dove scream at the end making her laugh.

Davina suddenly heard and felt a whoosh making her snap her head up in alarm but quickly calmed down when she saw it was just Kol "Kol thank goodness it's you" she said in relief "are you alright?" Kol asked concerned walking over to her as a beaming smile appeared on Dove's little face as she saw him.

"Yeah, I'm fine I just got a little panicked as I swear I could feel someone watching me" Davina replied making Kol look around "I don't see or hear anything" he said after listening out for anyone "I think whoever it was must've disappeared when I called you or just before you got here" she guessed "probably but don't worry if there was someone I would deal with them" he assured her making her smile "well thank you" she replied biting her lip as she looked at him.

 "You're welcome, I won't let anyone harm you or your little girl" Kol said as he looked at Davina with a sincere look as their eyes locked and Davina momentarily stopped pushing Dove.
