Two days later....
No one's pov
Stefan and Damon arrived back at the Salvatore boarding house with Elena who they successfully rescued from two vampires named Rose and Trevor who had kidnapped her for some old vampire named Elijah.
Stefan and Damon had fought Elijah and killed him or so they believed they had but they had no idea that Elijah couldn't be killed that easily as he was an original vampire.
As Stefan, Damon and Elena entered the boarding house. Elena was immediately engulfed in a hug by Bonnie and Caroline who had been waiting for her.
"We're so glad you're okay" Bonnie said as she pulled away "thank you" Elena replied "so what did those vampires want?" Caroline asked "apparently they kidnapped me for this old vampire who they had crossed long ago. They said he would be interested in me because I'm the doppelganger" Elena explained "well there is no need to worry as we killed the vampire" Damon said as he poured himself a glass of bourbon.
"Let's just hope there aren't anymore vampires lurking in the shadows planning to kidnap Elena" Caroline commented "well if there is we'll just kill them" Stefan replied before Damon cleared his throat.
"Bonnie how good are you with locator spells?" He asked randomly "I just did one to locate Elena so I'd say I'm pretty good. Why do you ask?" She questioned "we need you to do a little locator spell for me and Stefan" Damon said earning a glare from Stefan as he knew where he was going with this.
"It depends on who you want me to locate" Bonnie responded "Damon don't, I told you to leave it" Stefan warned "I can't Stefan. You need to know the truth otherwise it'll just eat at you" Damon retorted making the three girls frown.
"Okay what are you going on about?" Caroline asked "Stefan has a daughter" Damon revealed making the girls gasp. "You have a what?" Elena asked shocked making Stefan sigh as he caved.
"Yes, I do" Stefan replied "how come we've never met her and why did you not tell me about her?" Elena asked "Elena calm down, one question at a time" Caroline said "the reason why you've never met her is because she's dead or so I was led to believe until two days ago and I never anyone because it hurt too much" Stefan explained "I didn't even know about it until two days ago. He kept it a secret from me" Damon spoke up making the girls frown.
"Why'd you think she was dead?" Caroline asked "because there was a house fire and I was told my daughter along with her mother had died in the fire and their bodies were turned to ash" Stefan explained "that's awful" Elena commented "so what makes you think she's suddenly alive after all these years?" Bonnie asks "because Katherine let it slip two days ago that she was alive" Damon replied "we don't know if she was telling the truth" Stefan responded "she knew your daughters name and you know very well that she is capable of finding out things so she has some sort of leverage over her enemies" Damon pointed out.
"You both have a point and I would like to help but I can't do a locator spell because I don't have anything that belongs to your daughter" Bonnie spoke up "I have some things" Stefan replied before vamp speeding upstairs to his room.
"Did you really not know anything about this?" Elena asked Damon looking rather upset "no, Stefan and I weren't on the best of times back then so he felt he couldn't trust me enough to tell me" Damon explained as Stefan suddenly reappeared with a brown wooden box in his hands.
"Okay so I have some pictures, one of her teddy bears that somehow survived the fire and a hair brush which also survived the fire" he said before handing each item to Bonnie.
Bonnie looked at the pictures with wide eyes "this is your daughter?" She asks "yes, some of them are baby pictures but others are of her when she was a year old to five years old" Stefan explained "is that her natural hair colour?" She asked turning one of the photos round to reveal a five year old girl with stunning white-blonde hair and piercing blue eyes that could put the Caribbean sea to shame.
"Yes, white-silver hair tended to run in her mother's side of the family" Stefan replied "she was a beautiful child" Bonnie complimented "she was my heart and soul along with her mother" Stefan said momentarily forgetting that Elena was in the room.
"Were you and her mother serious?" Elena asked feeling a little jealous at the thought of Stefan with some other woman. Sure she was a bit jealous about Stefan and Katherine at first but she was nowhere near as jealous as she was currently feeling plus Katherine didn't have a child with Stefan.
"We were, she was a great woman. She was friends with Lexi actually" Stefan answered before clearing his throat. "Well I will start doing a locator spell" Bonnie said clearing the sudden tension in the room.
Bonnie quickly set up the table and placed the items down on the map she had rolled out across the table.
She placed one photo down in the centre of the map with the hair brush and Teddy bear on either side of the picture. "I'm gonna need some of your blood Stefan" she said glancing up at the vampire "take what you need" he replied biting into his wrist before holding his wrist out above the map allowing a few drops of his blood to drip onto the map.
Stefan stepped back once there was enough and Bonnie lit the candles using her magic before starting to chant. As she chanted the flames on the candles began to flicker as the blood started to move on the map.
Bonnie frowned as she felt something blocking her but chanted louder and harder, putting more power into it and for a brief moment she saw a teenage girl with white silvery blonde hair and bright blue eyes before she heard a loud ear piercing scream as the whole map burst into flames and Bonnie was pushed back by an unforeseen force.
Damon caught Bonnie before she hit the wall "Bonnie are you okay?" Elena asked concerned as Bonnie's ears were bleeding. "I've never felt anything like that before" she replied in a shaky voice, her ears were ringing and she felt physically drained.
"What do you mean? What happened Bon?" Caroline asked "as I was chanting, I started feeling something block my magic so I tried to chant harder and put more power into it but then I saw a girl but then there was this scream it was unlike anything I ever heard before and then I was thrown back" Bonnie explained as Damon and Elena sat her down on the couch and Stefan handed her a glass of water.
"The good news is the girl I got a brief glimpse of was your daughter and she is very much alive" Bonnie said looking at Stefan who's eyes suddenly light up at the news. "She is?" He asked in disbelief "yes, she's alive Stefan" Bonnie confirmed causing a smile to break out on Stefan's face.
"If she's alive then why were you told she was dead?" Elena questioned "I don't know"Stefan answered truthfully "I wonder where she's been all these years" Caroline pondered "I haven't seen her since she was 5 years old. I don't know how she'll react when she sees me" Stefan said "maybe her mother faked their deaths?" Elena suggested earning a glare from Stefan much to her surprise.
"I know her mother and she wouldn't do that. She wasn't spiteful" Stefan remarked before turning back to Bonnie. "So where is my daughter?" He asked "that's the bad news. I couldn't locate her Stefan, there was a really strong cloaking spell placed on her" Bonnie explained making him frown. "Don't worry we'll find her" Damon assured him noticing the crestfallen look on his face.
