Chapter 9

The next day....

Davina's pov

It was currently noon so I was getting dressed for my interview. I have a job interview today at the Mystic Grill. I spoke to Caroline about needing a job before I went to New York with my dad and Dove and she called me last night and told me she had spoken to Matt who got me an interview with the manager there so I have an interview today. 

My dad is with Elena spending time with her and making sure she's okay while my uncle is currently locked away in his room, mourning over Rose who died this morning from the werewolf bite. I feel bad for my uncle as he really saw Rose as a friend and she was a good person which is rare for a vampire considering most are cold and cruel and I liked her.

Anyway because my dad and uncle are busy, I'm having to take Dove with me but Caroline said she will meet me outside Mystic Grill and look after Dove while I go for my interview which I'm beyond grateful for.

I put on my necklace that belonged to my mother. I wear it as good luck but I try to be discreet about it since apparently my dad gave it to my mom and well with him having moved on and dating Elena nos. I don't want to start any trouble which is why I haven't told him my mom is still alive and is somewhere out there in a deep sleep hidden away because of some evil witches.

I mean he will obviously find out when I do eventually find her because I will and nothings gonna stop me from finding my mom. I need her, I want her to meet Dove who I know she'll love. She's my best friend and nobody understands me like she does.

I'm pulled from my thoughts as I hear my phone buzz. I grab my phone and see Caroline had messaged me asking me if I was on my way to the grill so I quickly type a message back to her telling her I'll be on my way in two minutes.

Since I came here me and Caroline have hit it off. I like Caroline she's very set in her ways but she is kind and she knows her fashion plus I like how she takes control of things. So yeah me and Caroline are friends, I'm also somewhat friends with Bonnie but we aren't that close.

I grab my bag before picking up Dove who had been sitting ever so patiently on the bed while I got ready. "Okay let's go" I say gently bouncing her on my hip as I leave my room and head downstairs.

I reach the front door and open it. I walk out the door and shut it behind me. I place Dove down "stay there sweetie" I say as I start locking the door even though Damon's in but I just feel the need to lock it as it's a force of habit to always lock the door when I leave.

I walk over to my car which is brand new as my dad didn't like the second hand car I bought and thought it wasn't safe so he bought me a car which I told him he didn't need too but he did anyway.

The car is a white range rover so it wasn't a cheap car by any means but it is super nice and the seats are so comfortable, I could sleep in this car if I really wanted too.
