Chapter seven ~ edited
(Picture of Storm)
On the ride back I didn't talk. I was disappointed I didn't see the stallion. I was sure I saw him. I saw him again this morning. I petted him. He was real. But he never showed when I brought someone along. Tomorrow I was going by myself. That meant I wouldn't be able to tell my fri...
"Oh my god!" I said out loud.
"What?" My brother asked.
"I totally forgot about shopping with Claire today."
"Good on ya."
I went to get my phone from my pocket. Damn! I forgot it!
"Do you have your phone?" I asked.
"Yeah." I stopped Storm and waited for Jason to stop next to me. He handed me his phone. I went into messages and clicked on new message. I put in Claire's number.
Hey its Summer. So sry. I forgot bout shopping. I went riding.
It's ok. I went shopping anyway.
Ok cya.
Cya.
I gave Jason his phone back and walked Storm on, thinking about the stallion and that mare from my dream.
We got back to the stable and dismounted the horses at the wash bays.
"Jason just do the opposite of what I did tacking them up." I told him.
"Alright." he did as I instructed. I untacked Storm and took his tack to the tack room. I walked back out and found David.
"Can I put the horses in the paddock?" I asked.
"Yeah."
"Ok thanks." I walked back to my brother and the horses.
I untied Storm and took him to the paddock. Jason did the same with Jazabel. I watched the horses run around then start grazing. They looked so beautiful. I didn't know how people could be afraid of them or not like them.
"Do you think they're beautiful?" I asked Jason.
"I guess." He replied. That's the best I'd get from him. I smiled.
"Well I think they are."
"Of course you do sis."
Seth came out of the stable and joined us at the paddock.
"Hey." I greeted him.
"Hey." He said. "Did you see your stallion?"
"No she didn't." Jason said.
"Thanks Jason. No I didn't see him again. Not after this morning."
"This morning?" Jason asked. Seth stayed silent.
"Yeah he came to our house this morning. When I woke up early."
"Really. Did you tell mum?"
"No! What would she do If I told her a wild stallion came to our house and I actually touched him. He let me pat him."
"He did?"
"Yes."
"I'll see you later. Bye." With that Seth walked back to the stable. I watched him walk away. Storm walked up to the fence. He whinnied and I gave him a pat.
"Good boy. See you another time." I said.
Jason and I walked back home. I was surprised I actually got my brother to come for a ride. I was still puzzled over why the stallion didn't appear unless I was alone. I couldn't wait to see him again.
We got to the house and Maddy ran out.
"Hi." She said.
"Hey." Jason and I said at the same time.
"Where did you go?" I totally forgot about her. Whoops.
"Sorry we went for a ride." I said.
"That's ok. Axe and I were playing." I smiled. He was a very active dog.
"That's nice." I said. We walked back into the house.
Mum and my aunty were in the kitchen talking while making lunch. It was almost 1:00.
I sat in the lounge room with Maddy, Jason and Ty while we waited for lunch.
I got up and walked upstairs to my room. I got my phone.
Five unread messages.
Of course. I unlocked my phone and looked at them. Four were from Claire. The other was from a random number. I clicked on Claire's name.
Hey we r leaving at 10. B at mine 9:30.

I'm leaving now. Sry. Bye. I click on the other message.
Hey.
