I woke up with excitement as that day was the first day of the semester. I took a quick shower and went to the kitchen to grab some water, but I almost had a heart attack.
Sh*t, I already forgot about Akara!
"Are you okay, young master? You seem as if you saw a ghost," that bastard teased me as he cracked an egg to a pan.
"Yes, I saw a clingy ghost," I snorted, "did you sleep well?" I asked, simpering as there was no way he slept comfortably on that small sofa. Hehe.
I saw his eyes twitched, but other than that his expression was stone-like. "Thank you, young master, I slept like a baby," he said, cold as ice.
"Good then," I said and went back to my room to change after grabbing a bottle of cold water.
After drying my slightly long brown hair, I gelled my bangs backwards and applied some sunscreen as my skin was highly pale. Then I wore the black pants and the white shirt, and grabbing my backpack, I returned to the kitchen.
Just like the previous day, I had to repeat twice for the goldfish to sit and eat with me, and the effort didn't make me too happy. I was just trying to show him that I wasn't a spoiled young man who despised the people around him, but at the end, I looked like I was ordering him around. Tsk-ed.
After breakfast, I brushed my teeth, got my Volvo's key and rushed to the door. "You can wander around, but don't enter my bedroom," I said to Akara.
"No need, young master, I am coming with you," he replied as he also put his shoes on.
"No way!" I exclaimed in horror.
He gave me a questioning look, "I can follow you from afar like the others if you prefer that way."
"What others?" I asked with confusion.
Akara covered his mouth with his palm, "I didn't know that you didn't know about the shadow bodyguards," he said apologetically.
"Shadow bodyguards? What?! From when they are tailing me?"
He rubbed the corner of his eye, "from the... beginning."
Woah! How clueless I was! I should have noticed that my father gave in rather easily when I said I didn't want any bodyguards with me. Come on, why did a hotel owner's son have to have bodyguards? As if my father was a mafia boss...
"How many of them?" I asked with my evaporated pride.
"Hmm... five, I guess."
"WHAT?!" Five bodyguards were following me around for three and a half years and I had no idea about it! I sucked a deep breath, trying to calm myself, "do they... you know, report my actions to my father?"
Akara nodded firmly, "of course."
Sh*t!
"Let's make a deal," I said, putting my hands on his broad shoulders, "I will let you stick with me and tell my father how capable you are, so only you is enough. In exchange for my kindness, you won't report me to my father, what do you think?"
He thought for a second before he nodded hesitantly, "if it is what young master wants."
Yes! I exclaimed inwardly. Smiling from ear to ear, I said "I will give you my spare clothes so that you can blend in" and rushed to my room to get the clothes. While Akara was changing his clothes, I called my father and told him about one bodyguard issue. Interestingly, he agreed immediately, even promised to get Akara a fake student card. He must have trusted Akara a lot.
Patiently, I waited for Akara in my car and seeing him trapped inside my tight clothes made me burst into laughter.
"Can you even sit with those pants?" I teased him as he opened the passenger side's door.
He gave me a fake smile and unzipped the pants, looking straight into my eyes, "like this, yes, I can sit."
Feeling shy, I averted my gaze and suddenly Akara leaned forward towards me. Panicking, I pressed myself towards the door, "what are you doing?!"
He gave me a meaningful smirk as he grabbed the seat belt and buckled it for me. Then he retreated again as if nothing happened.
Why the hell am I acting like an innocent girl?! We are both men!
Frustrated, I started the engine. Luckily, the university was only twenty minutes away from my house -if we omitted the time we spent to buy Akara a better pair of pants and a shirt- so we arrived before the silence got too awkward.
The rest of the day was fine. As my best friend, Som, joined us, Akara couldn't find a chance to act strange again. After every class, he stuck to me like a piece of gum even when I went to the restroom. As his behaviour was impossible to be camouflaged, I told Som about Akara's identity, ignoring the shocked expression of Akara.
When we were done with the lectures, I drove us back to my house. While I was reviewing my notes, Akara prepared us dinner.
As usual, the food was extremely good, so I asked him how he learnt to cook that good.
"I just learnt," he said with a shrug.
He just learnt? Really? I puffed, annoyed. I couldn't understand him, not at all. He was like Pandora's box and didn't want to be opened.
Whatever... As if I wondered...
