The helicopter pulled to a stop, I looked outside the windows and saw nothing but clouds, aside from a portal-like door."We're here," Reggie said as he jumped out of the helicopter. "Come on, don't be shy, get off."
It was at this moment that I realized the helicopter had no pilot, at this point, I'm not even gonna question it.
"Umm, is this it?" I asked curiously. "What is this?"
"Now Villager, this is your game's entry, it acts as a doorway in and out of Animal Crossing. But most importantly, it's a doorway to your destination, Smash Bros," Reggie explained. "Now, you are leaving your game, into a completely different one."
"Is this...Safe?"
"Well, why not test it out yourself?"
"Uh, Ok?"
I stepped out of the helicopter and walked towards the portal, suddenly, it lit up in blue. The doorframes formed an actual portal, what?
"Go ahead, Villager, go through."
I stood still for a couple of seconds and looked back at Reggie, who nodded his head and smiled at me, I wasn't sure what to do at that point. Ignore him and go in? Or stall as much time as possible since I have no clue what's going on.
"After entering, you'll probably meet some other people waiting for you at the other end of this thing. Say hello to them for me, they won't bite." Reggie said. "We will meet again someday, I promise."
I met him again in the eyes. I had no intention of leaving.
"You can go now." He said again.
I still didn't move.
After stalling for a good 2 minutes, Reggie broke, he walked towards me and shoved, pushing me into the portal. Before I could complain, I was gone, from my world.
"A little bit of convincing, but that's fine. Well, good luck anyway..."
I screamed at the top of my lungs, and everything around me was blue. I knew I was inside of the portal somewhere, but that's all, I knew nothing else, not where I was going, not where I was supposed to do. I felt like vomiting, but nothing was coming out. I would genuinely parish on the spot than experience this treatment for another 10 minutes. After a little longer, I was knocked out, and didn't know anything else after that.
"Hey...Is he okay?" I heard a female voice. "He's not dead right?"
"Oh Samus, there's a first time for everyone." Said a male voice. "It's his."
A period of silence passed by.
"Should I wake him up?" Said the female again. "I'm getting very bored, very quickly."
"You're right, maybe patience isn't the move here." The male voice said again.
That was when I took my head off the ground. And took my first look around this unfamiliar world. I was a bit shocked, to say the least. Ahead of me, was a huge city with tall buildings, but it wasn't just a city, it was a futuristic-looking city. At least that's how Isabelle would probably put it. Also, it was hard to miss the two figures in front of me, a man in a green tunic, and a blond lady in a skin-tight suit. I knew who they were right away, I couldn't believe it, I was actually here.
"Oh god, you scared me." The lady said. "Wait quickly Link remember to say your lines." She whispered to the man next to her.
"Oh yeah, that's right." The man whispered back. Did they think I was deaf?
"Welcome to Smash Bros Villager!" They said in unison.
"Th-thanks," I said as I lifted my body off the ground, my excitement was off the charts. "Oh my...This isn't real...LINK AND SAMUS!"
I think my scream might have scared them a little. Stay cool, Villager, act cool, I said to myself.
"You are a loud one." Said Samus. "He'll fit right in with the other stupid kids."
"I'm guessing you know what's going on?" Link said while chuckling. "She's not wrong about you being a little loud."
"Actually, I have no clue, but can I say, It's such a big honor to meet you two!" I said with excitement, completely acting like an idiot. "Wait, I need autogra-"
"We don't have time for those." Samus cut me off. "Wait, where's your luggage? You should have at least some on you right?"
Oh crap, It's still on the helicopter.
"Um, I-uh-think I left it behind-"
"Well doesn't matter, it'll probably get over here later, we gotta go now, like fast. Link can explain things to you along the way." Samus said as she ran towards a futuristic contraption and hopped into it. "Let's go!"
"Wait, what's that?" I asked.
"It's her car." Link answered. "I know you have so many questions right now, I know I did when I first came here."
"What's a car?"
"Oh Come on we have to go! Link I bet you don't want Sakurai to nerf your kneecaps again." Samus said, now angry. I knew she was fierce already from watching her on TV, but this was on a whole different level.
"I certainly do not, Samus, Now chill out, don't give the kid a bad impression." The blonde man said, "At least try to trick the kid into thinking that you are amicable.
That kinda shut her up.
We hopped into the "car", it moved on its own, just like a train, but you can move it in any direction apparently. During the ride, I looked out of the window of the car, and saw more majestic structures and buildings than I could count : there were lakes with very frickin weird birds soaring above them, bridges that stretched across those lakes, unrealistically large stadiums...it really is Smash Bros.
"I don't know what to say, this is so cool!" I said to Link, "everything looks so real! It's great!"
Before the blonde could respond to me, I laid my eyes on the sword on the his back. My grubby little paws proceeded to reach for and gentility caress the master sword, which He didn't seem to mind.
"I love your sword, it looks so cool! I've always wanted to touch it...count this as a small dream coming true..."
"Oh, well, I'm...glad!" He said as he ruffled my hair a little, he did it extremely carefully. "My master sword? Ah, I get that a lot. You can play with it, just don't play with TL's, he's pretty protective of his stuff."
TL? Do you mean?
"Toon Link? I love him, he's...my favorite smasher, no offense to you, you are all great as well."
"Looks like we've got ourselves one of these," Samus said, now calmed down. "You might not like him very much once you get to know him. Just saying."
"Yeah." Link followed. "He's, kinda annoying. Along with his friend, there's a reason they fit with each other so well."
How could they say that? I suddenly became very quiet. I thought about defending my idol, but since I didn't want to ruin my reputation on my first f***ing day, I didn't say a word. Besides, it's Link and Samus, who doesn't like them?
"Too bad you'll live with them, you seem like a nice kid, I wish you the best of luck Villager, you'll need it," Samus said. While Link gave me a painful nod. Man, why do they hate them so much?
"I'm gonna live with them?" I asked. Just realizing that I haven't asked for the destination of the car ride.
"Yup." Said, Link. "That's where we are going right now, to their Mansion. Sakurai decided that he wanted to put you children in one house, so we can keep track of you tricky little ponies easier, it's not an easy job."
