Today was the day, the day that we leave for another world. After waiting for a whole week, that felt like eons.

I stumbled down the spiral staircase with my medium-sized duffle bag, which contained some everyday items and snacks, there wasn't much to pack. I was wearing a beige-colored jacket with dark blue denim shorts, which fit me very well according to Ness.

He was waiting for me already, in a dark green windbreaker with his signature hat on, while carrying his always charming grin. If you had told me 3 months ago that this dumb kid sitting next to him would eventually be me, I would probably laugh at you, because no way in hell was I ever gonna see myself in fricking Super Smash Bros, leave alone dating my celebrity crush, and going on a vacation with him.

"All done?" He asked me.

"Yep! All done."

"We can go whenever you are ready."  He said while fixing his hair from under his hat. "Don't sweat it, grab whatever you need, we are not racing against time."

"I really don't have much to pack, so yeah, ready!"

Toon Link shifted his head towards the living room, where a particular black-haired boy sat in front of the TV. He looked at both of us and sighed.

"Sorry, Ness-" I said.

"Oh boy, can't wait to be alone for the entirety of the next two weeks, honestly though, it doesn't even make a difference, you two barely talk to me anymore."

"Ness...I tried to get you in on this too...but-" TL spoke, before getting cut off.

"Yeah, yeah, sure you did, well, have fun in your little honeymoon, don't deny it, this was just an elaborate scheme to get away from me."

"Whatever floats your boat dude," TL said. "Stay in touch, don't starve yourself, eat the noodles."

"What else am I gonna do with it? Shove it up my nose? I'm not stupid."

"I don't know about that." TL chuckled. "You truly are an 'incredible' human being Ness."

"But seriously though, I'm happy for you two, just have fun, and uh...don't do anything you'll regret, like drowning, or dying."

"Thanks, Ness, I'll keep that in mind," I said sarcastically. "Couldn't have known without you."

...

"Oh speaking of drowning, Villa, have I ever told you about that time Ness fell into a lak-"

"No! I swear Link. I will throw you into a lake."

"-Whilst fishing, headfirst-"

"Holy smokes...Stop! I didn't give you permission to tell anyone about these things!"

"Okay! okay! Stop getting so angry about everything, do you think Villa would actually care?"

"I thought we had a deal! Keeping each other's secrets secretive and never telling anyone, you shook on it! You can't break a promise. How would you feel if I told if about your..."

"He's our friend too, do you really mind him? Come on now Ness. Besides, it's not like you can stop me."

"I can't believe you chose him over me Linkus, I can't believe it."

"What? I didn't choose anyone-"

"Since you broke the deal Linkus, now you will suffer the consequences."

"Wait-"

"Hey, Villager! Let me tell you about the time Linkus smashed his balls on a metal pole while skateboarding-"

Before Ness could finish his sentence, TL grabbed me and we were off, which really wasn't hard because of how light I was. It was pretty clear that he did not want Ness to finish his sentence.

"What did you smash?" I asked after he put me down in the garage, he was panting.

"Some embarrassing things I did when I was younger...maybe I'll tell you later." He said while shoving both of us in the vehicle. "Well...That was fun! What a way to say goodbye to a good friend. So...Ready to roll?"

"Ready to roll!" I said while fastening my seatbelt. "I don't get it, you two are best friends, why are you guys always fighting over something."

"Oh don't worry, that's just how we bond."

"That is quite an interesting method of bonding."

"Plus! He doesn't matter anymore, it's just you and I now. Toonie and Villa, off to the Great Sea!"

"Could you have said that sentence any cheesier?"

He laughed and grabbed my hand, I smiled back. Words cannot describe how happy I am.

"I wish I could hold your hand forever." He said, not willing to let go.

"Same," I said. "But I personally wouldn't drive with one hand, that's not good, especially since you are not even confident with two."

"Oh yeah, you're probably right." He said while leaning forward onto the steering wheel and laughing harder. Hearing him also made me giggle, his laugh was extremely contagious.

After we pulled out of the driveway, Ness came out of the front door. We waved him goodbye in a friendly manner through our car windows. At first, we received a middle finger and a stuck-out tongue from him, but eventually, he smiled and waved us goodbye as well.  After all, I knew for a fact that he was gonna miss us.

Ness might be an annoying piece of crap, but he's our annoying piece of crap, and a special friend he truly is. ("Special" emphasized)

...

After driving past the trees, the stadium, and eventually the city, Toon Link parked the vehicle. We got out of the car, and stood under a giant door, the same door I had entered through months ago. Even though it hasn't been that long, I have to say, leaving feels kinda weird.

"Just three months ago, Link and Samus picked up a weird kid, three months later the same weird kid stands here, now going on a vacation with his boyfriend," I said as I observed my surroundings. "I have to say, things have definitely changed, a lot."

"I agree, i wouldn't have never imagined a life like this...it's just so perfect~ All thanks to you, flower boy."

"Woah, woah, come on...I love you Toonie but...We've been only together for like...a week."

"Not just our current relationship, our friendship, our companionship, I'm thankful, that you came, it's pretty fair to say that you changed my life."

"Oh piss off, all that about friendship rambling you did that night at the pizza restaurant, turns out none of us saw each other as friends, not even on the first day we met," I said while he chuckled. "And yeah...You changed my life too-"

"Are you two gonna leave or not? Don't just stand there!" The voice from behind surprised both of us. It was a giant floating hand, and it was spasming, so we assumed it was crazy hand. "Move along! You stupid children."

"Do you mind?" TL said. "Don't just stalk us like that, it's weird."

"Well, go! Move! You are blocking the portal!"

"Okay okay!" I said while turning around, hoping the giant floating hand behind us missed out on our private conversation. "Who pissed in your cereal?"

"Well, without further ado, Villa, would you like to..."

"Sure...Probably better in there than out here with...Crazy hand stalking us"

"Alright." He extended his hand towards me, and I took it. "Grab on tight! And don't let go!"

"Wait, so we ju-" TL didn't wait for me to finish my response before grabbing my hand and pulling me into the portal. I was gone. And boy, was the nauseous sensation back again, just like how I remembered it...
