After I got back onto my feet, I sat on one end of the boat, watching my partner tying knots and pulling sails, I had absolutely no idea what he was doing whatsoever. But from the context and the setting, my guess was that he was trying to get the boat to move. After he had finished, TL sat down, took a deep breath, looked at me, and grinned;
"You ready?"
"Of course!"
"Wait...before we move on, I have something to show you..."
TL pulled out a Baton from his back pocket, it was a delicately silver, light reflecting on its tip. He held it in front of my face as I examined it.
"A baton?" I asked. "Are you gonna conduct an orchestra while sailing?"
"Not just any regular baton...This is a special baton..."
"Ok? What's so special about it?
He stretched his wrists and pointed the baton in the air.
"You'll see..." He says. "Get ready to be amazed..."
"I certainly am..."
Toon Link murmured something inaudible under his breath, and spun the stick around. He then pointed it in three different directions, up, right, and then left. At first, nothing happened, I looked at him, wondering if this is all a joke, before...
Suddenly, I felt as if my body was turned to the side, the strength of nature pulled on me as the boat began to move forward. I gasped in amazement.
"Woah!" I said. "How did you do that!"
"Oh, it's haha, a melody, I cast a melody called Winds Requiem. It turns the favor of the wind to the way of my choosing."
"I didn't know you were a wizard? Why have you never done this in Smash Bros?"
"Oh, it's banned, maybe a bit too powerful for that world, but in this world, everything is fine." TL took hold of the boat as the small island we were on earlier begins to leave our sight. "That was cool, right?"
"Yeah!" I said. "Do you know other ones? Like other spells?"
"Oh, yeah, I know a couple, I can show you later if you want, but not here, it would probably flip the boat."
We began to slow down our pace once we reached the max speed, I lay on the deck of the boat, looking up to the sky, watching the seagulls fly, you know, they really look like the same seagulls from my dreams. My boyfriend and I chatted, mostly humor and some love stuff, the boat under us even sometimes commented on our conversation, but eventually, we got to an inevitable topic.
"I wonder how my island looks now, it's been another couple of years since I went back, I hope they miss me."
...
"So...Only your Gram and sister are home? Um...about that..."
"Yeah...Don't worry too much Villa, there's nothing to worry about, they love me...So they will love you."
"Yeah...But I..."
"The people on my home island are all super nice, unless your name is "Ganondorf," I don't think you have too much to worry about."
We'll see...I'm taking a leap of fate here, but I trust Link and his words.
"Oh speaking of Ganondorf...he's supposed to be in your world right?"
"Oh no, I killed him."
"You...You killed Ganondorf?"
"The one in my world, yeah, I stabbed him in the head, it was great."
