I Awkwardly stepped into the Mansion and took a good look all around me. A grand staircase spiraled in front of me, separating two halls beside it. A crystal chandelier hung above me, sparkling with pride."So, uh welcome, this is the house, it's not clean, let me tell you that now, we are working on that," Ness said. "Oh and Link, show him around, I need to deal with the laundry, I'll be there for dinner later."
Ness sprinted into one of the halls and disappeared. It's just me and him now. We stood there for a good awkward 10 seconds before he signaled me to follow him up the stairs. I took a good look into his eyes, they are so pretty, in fact, his entire face is gorgeous, godammit Villager you have been here for 2 minutes.
"Are...you ok?" My daydream was broken by Toon Link's voice. "Do you need something? Like a water bottle or something? Don't be afraid to ask, this is your house."
"Oh, I'm good," I answered quickly, but the damage had probably already been done. I might have stared into his face for a little too long, he probably thinks I'm weird.
"Cool, let's get started, so the first door here is..."
He guided me through each door and showed me the contents of each room. He started with his, which was splashed with green and covered with ocean-related items. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that he loves the ocean very much. Next was Ness' room, I could tell he played a lot of sports, with all the gloves and cards and balls that were stacked in his room in and out. He then took me to another room, a rather empty room with yellow wallpaper and a single stem of plastic sunflower on the bedsheet. The blonde explained to me that it was Lucas' room before he moved out. He also told me that Ness cried his eyes out because of that.
"Don't tell him, or anybody I told you that." He chuckled. "He's gonna skin me alive if he knew I told you that."
"Then...Why did you tell me?"
"Because we're friends? I mean, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself, we still need to know each other better BUT. You seem like a very befriend-able person."
"That's...very nice of you to say," I said while blushing a little, I didn't expect him to be this nice. "So, where is my room?"
He took me to an empty room with nothing but a bed and a drawer, and told me that I will be able to decorate it once I get settled in.
"What are you into Villager? Are you good at sports?" Toon link asked me as he showed me around the shared bathroom. "Just curious."
"Does Bowling count? I don't play a lot of sports, I'm not athletic."
"Well, that's fine." He answered. "Ness and I fancy some baseball once in a while, you should join us."
"Oh that would be great, I'm not good though, I'm really bad at Baseball or any sport."
"You'll learn, Ness is amazing, he used to play for his region's little league...I'm nowhere close to rivaling him, but I would consider myself pretty good."
"Is baseball your favorite sport?" I asked, hoping the answer is no.
"No, it's actually, uh sailing, competitive sailing, I'm pretty decent around those things. But you're probably not interested in that, I also like surfing."
I've seen some of the villagers surf before, it looked so fun. I had tried multiple times to learn the arts of the waves, but luck was never on my side, that's a better way of saying I had no teachers.
"Surfing is cool." I said. "I never got to learn it, but it looks fun!"
"Well, I can teach you if you want-"
"That'll be great-" I said, showing him my smile. He returned with his charming grin, which filled me with warm, fuzzy embarrassment. Oh god...He's cute....really cute...I think I'm in love...already was...even more now....Despite the friendly atmosphere, I didn't know how he felt about me on the inside, hopefully I'm not being that annoying. I peaked at him again, and what do you know, he caught me again.
"Is there something on my face, why are you looking at me so lovingly?" Toon Link said while smiling. "Do you want a kiss or something?"
"No, I'm sorry-I didn't m-"
"I'm joking, I'm joking, don't take it seriously. Ness and I like to poke fun at things a lot, let us know if you aren't comfortable with something we said. Let that be the first of many poor attempts at humor."
That was a close one.
"That's all for floor two, let's go downstairs now, there are many more things down there." He said as he signaled me to follow him again. "Floor one gets a lot more complicated, you'll know what I mean later..."
...
We walked down the spiral staircase, Ness was waiting for us at the Bottom. He insisted that we have dinner first before I continue my tour. Link took me to the dining hall, it was a huge table with over 15 seats, but I'm guessing we only need 3, actually 4, since Ness needed one for his legs. Not the greatest table manner, but I won't judge him.
"Now for my specialties," Ness said as he placed 3 bowls onto the table. I peeked into the bowl in front of me and was met with noodles, I love noodles.
"They look delicious," I said to him as he gave me an embarrassed laugh.
"Could be better if you could actually COOK." Toon Link said.
"It's not like you can." Ness defended himself.
"At least I can cook eggs, you can't even peel a potato."
"Yeah, well, how about your green ass cook next time, I would love to see your signature boiled eggs."
"Wait you two weren't kidding when you said you need a chef?" I interrupted.
"No" They said in unison.
"Lucas knew his way around the kitchen," Ness said. "He's not with us anymore, and now we are stranded on an endless cycle of Tesco frozen patties and Chinese ramen soup."
"Accurate depiction." Link said. They both gave a half-hearted laugh.
"I can cook," I said. "I can cook anything."
"Do you know how to use a grill?" Ness asked.
"Yes, actually. It's really simple-"
"I knew Reggie knew what he was doing, thank god. " Ness said to himself as Link and I stared him down awkwardly. "Villager, you will now take over Lucas' honorable position as the house's maid, congratulations."
"What-" I almost spat out my noodles as the raven haired idiot giggled to himself non-stop.
"He's like that sometimes, a crackhead, you'll get used to him." Link said as he smiled at me.
I have no clue why Samus and Link thought so low of them, they seem great to me.
