"Show...What I got?" I asked anxiously. "What do you mean?"

"What do you think I mean? Come on! Give me a punch or two, I can take them." Ness said.

How stupid could I be, I completely forgot that I was brought here not to enjoy a summer camp, but to fight people...And I don't know how to do that.

"Umm, I...don't really know how to fight..."

The two of them chuckled, clearly finding my comment humorous.

"That's a good one," Ness said, "You've got anymore?"

"I-I'm not kidding..."

"Of course," Link laughed, "Nessu, he's gonna hook you in the head any time now...get your damn hands up."

I stood still, expressionless, as they kept grinning. It was only after a good 30 seconds, that they realized something was wrong.

"Umm, are you gonna-" Ness asked, "I'm here...ya know?"

"I don't know how to fight people...I'm not kidding..."

"What do you mean? You were brought here because you could fight." Link said from the sidelines. "You know how to punch people right? Or like, can you use a weapon, load a bow, or cast a spell?"

"No...Not really."

"Alright...Let's make this simple...Have you fought other people? Yes?" Ness asked.

"Not really..."

...

"What!" They screamed in unison as they exchanged funny looks with each other. I was as red as a tomato at that point. This was a disaster.

"If this is a joke I advise you to get serious now, we don't have time to screw around, well, we do but that's not the point," Ness said.

"I'm really sorry...I just...don't. I've never fought anyone..."

...

"wHAT..."

...

...

...

"Are you serious-"

...

...

"Yes..." I said, "I don't...r-really know what I am d-doing here."

...

..,

"Here, Villager, just punch as hard as you can, let's see how hard you can hit." Link rescued me from the side. "Just go for it."

I didn't give a second thought, I swung back, used my entire body, and struck Ness' chest. Perhaps this can show some worth in me, I don't think I'm that weak.

...

I really was that weak.

Ness easily caught my punch midair like catching a baseball, he then looked at me in the face expressionless.  I looked at Toon Link, who looked the other way. He refused to make eye contact with me.

"Please don't tell me that was your hardest punch," Ness questioned me again. "Dude, that was, pathetic."

"I know...sorry."

"This makes no sense." Ness dropped my fist. "How did you even get here? You had no clue what you were doing, and now, you have no clue about what you are doing. Dude, please tell me, how did you pull this off? Out of all the eager and talented people out there, they picked you?"

"I..."

I felt like crying, I should have expected this. Any person in the face of reality would know, that truth does hurt. After about 20 seconds of silence, I burst into tears. I cried pathetic and regretful tears. These tears weren't caused by the townspeople, these tears were caused by the two people I looked up to the most. And that hurts me more than anything that can physically harm me.

I spent the rest of the day practicing my base power and strength with Ness and Toon Link, it didn't feel like they were helping me train, at least not Ness. Toon Link talked a couple of times to criticize my positions and postures, and helped me correct them. Ness did not talk at all, he only stood in silence. At the end of the day, I've learned little to nothing due to my terrible mood. The three of us walked back to the mansion, no one speaking a word.

After making it back, I went straight to my room and crashed onto my bed, I felt tired, I felt useless. I was sweaty and dirty, but I was in no mood of taking a shower.

After a while, I picked up my head and decided to take a shower, I didn't want to sleep with all my tears and sweat. On my way to the bathroom, I heard my two roommates in Toon Link's room, they were talking, their tones sounded irritated. I already knew what they were talking about, but I eavesdropped anyways.

"Look Linkus, this is ridiculous, he doesn't know to fight. He had the strength and power of my sister, you can't expect me to invest more time into him."

"Well, what if...we teach him, would it really be that hard?"

"Yes! Link! It would be that hard, you know, I advise you to just, not waste more of your time on him. What's in it for us? I have done many ridiculous things, but making him a capable fighter here? In a month? That's not in the realm of posib-"

"Yeah yeah, fair point...But..."

...

"Look Villager, I know you are outside of the door," Ness called out to me, I don't know how he sensed me. "I'm sorry man. You seem like a cool dude, you really do, but man, you...you need to get real man, there's no place for you here."

I came into the room, and both of them were looking at me sympathetically, I could tell they weren't angry at me, they were disappointed.

"Villager...I" Link mumbled under his breath. "I..."

I stood in silence, and eventually, I sprinted back to my room and slammed my door. I was mad at myself for being weak. I wanted to prove Ness wrong, but I know he's right. I was loaded with hatred and despair. My anger was taking the best of me, I felt my body burning. But they weren't saying anything wrong...they were just tellin the truth. And for me, the truth is brutal.

I crawled onto my bed in my sweaty clothes and cried myself to sleep, it wasn't a good look.

And it hasn't even been two days.

The next chapter will be the start of Toonie and villa's thing, I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote this chapter lol.
