School is starting in 5 days :(

"My family abandoned me as a baby." Sophia said. "Croatoan found me and took care of me, gave me a home... they're basically my family I guess. I always thought that America belongs to the Spanish, like I was raised to hear...until now. I'm having second thoughts about everything they told me."

There was a bit of a silence, then Cyrus said, "Why should we trust you now? Maybe you haven't really changed, and you are just leading us on." Erica seemed to also agree with him, and although I wouldn't admit it, they had a good point.

Sophia sighed. "But I hope you can." She said in such a soft voice that I nearly couldn't hear it. "Croatoan is planning on poisoning the Great Lakes...and I believe the only way of stopping them...is taking down the entire organization. Just please don't harm my...father. He's the one that rescued me from the streets. His name is Colton."

"Father?" I couldn't help asking. "But didn't your parents abandon you as a baby?"

Sophia looked at me and said, "He's the closest thing I have to a father. I'm willing to call him that."

"Could you leave us to do a bit of discussion first, Sophia?" Catherine said sweetly.

Sophia gave a nod and left the room. Right after she left, Cyrus said, "You four have barely know this girl and you've already got the hots for her?" Jawa, Mike, Chip and I blushed and said in unison, "No I don't!" Catherine gave us a skeptical look but didn't say anything. Instead, she asked, "Do we trust her?"

Erica spoke up first. "I surely don't. I don't think we should go on with her."

"Hmmm," Cyrus said. "She might know how to take down Croatoan, where this Ms. Capke is hiding...and possibly even more than that. I think we should let her come...and after we'll decide."

Everyone seemed to agree with Cyrus. It was a reasonable choice, and I think even Erica saw that. Catherine went over to the door Sophia went in and called her back.

Sophia POV:

I walked out of the room because they wanted to discuss. I considered eavesdropping, but that doesn't seem very trustworthy of me. I sat down in a chair and thought about those four boys. I giggled to myself. They've known me for half an hour and they seemed to have a crush on me already.

If only they knew I was lesbian. I'll tell them later.

A knock came on the door and the friendly woman's voice came through (Catherine, I think it was) saying that I could come back in. Hopefully they decided I could help them.
