Christabel had never seen her daughter so close to someone so fast, other than Mrs Weasley, Sirius, and the twins. Amara absolutely hated Kreacher, which Sirius said was normal since he hated the house elf as well. Bill was quite awkward around babies, but he didn't seem as awkward around Amara according to Mrs Weasley. He was very careful with Amara, as if he was afraid that he'd accidentally hurt her.

"She'll be walking soon," Christabel commented, as she sat down on the couch near Bill, watching as her daughter stood and held on to the table.

"Does she already talk?" Bill asked, wanting to try and continue a conversation with Christabel.

"Yes, but not much yet. She can say a few words, and she seems to be learning more everyday," Christabel answered, and Bill smiled.

"She's quite adorable," Bill commented, causing the mother of the little girl to smile as well.

"Thank you, I'm happy she's so perfect. I know it's vain to think your child is perfect, but she has been ever since she was born," Christabel said, and Bill chuckled.

"It's not vain, Chrissy, it's the truth," Bill replied, using the nickname he had heard Sirius use for Christabel.

Not many people came up with new nicknames for Christabel, but sometimes some of the best names were given to her by some of her favorite people. She wondered if Bill had any other nicknames besides Bill, but she didn't want to ask. She knew Bill was short for William, since the twins had told her all about him when they were talking about their family.

"Where did you get the name Amara?" Bill asked, making Christabel look at him.

"Well, I wanted to stick with the unique names that seemed to run through the Black and Malfoy families. I didn't want to name her after a star, so I named her Amara. I had gotten Draco's opinion on the name first though, since I wanted him to be a part of her naming. My mother had learned about the name from Draco, so she told me more about the name. I always knew Amara meant grace, immortal, bitter, and things of that nature. According to muggle legends, or a book Mother had found, Amara was their God's twin sister. I don't remember much of what Mother told me, but I believe she said Amara was the embodiment of evil. For some reason, I believe this was my mother's way of trying to make me name my daughter after a star, in which I refused profusely. I just hope her name doesn't get her into trouble," Christabel answered, and Bill listened to every word.

Bill seemed to think that each word that came from Christabel's mouth was like music, or a story that he never wanted to end. He refused to make his feelings know, since Christabel was barely older than his twin brothers. He knew their relationship would be frowned upon, so he didn't act upon his adoration, even though it was a bit hard.

Sirius was the only person who could tell that Bill and Christabel were even remotely close, but he didn't say anything. Christabel needed a friend that was closer to her age, though Bill wasn't too much younger than he was. Bill was over ten years younger than Sirius, but at the same time, Sirius was almost twenty years older than Christabel. He didn't know the extent of how close the two were getting, but he wondered if it was too close for their own good.

"Bill and Christa have become great friends. I'm so happy they're not awkward around each other or trying to ignore each other," Mrs Weasley commented, as she prepared dinner.

"I doubt Chrissy would be awkward or rude. She's a social butterfly from what I've seen," Sirius replied, and Mrs Weasley smiled slightly.

"Well, I wish. According to the twins, Christa wasn't very social in school. She really only had a couple of friends other than the twins, and she mostly stays to herself," Mrs Weasley said, as Sirius hummed lightly.

"I believe Amara has changed her for the better. Maybe she'll be more social now that she has her daughter," Sirius replied, and Mrs Weasley nodded.

"I think she will be. I also think soon she'll be able to find herself a boyfriend. She'll find someone perfect for her and Amara's love," Mrs Weasley commented, as Sirius scowled.

"She will not be dating until I'm cold and dead. She'll have to wait two days after to make sure I'm actually dead," He retorted, and Mrs Weasley looked over at him with wide eyes.

"Sirius--" She began, but he cut her off.

"Molly, her father is no longer in her life. I do not agree with the customs Lucius Malfoy puts on his children, but I do know Chrissy deserves a good father figure, which will be me. I'm nothing like Princess Malfoy, so I won't put her in an arranged marriage, or expect her to marry a rich pureblood blood-supremacist. I want her to be happy, but at the same time, I don't want her growing up too fast. I just met her, and I don't want her to disappear right after," Sirius stated, causing Mrs Weasley to smile at Sirius.

"She won't leave you, Sirius. You're the only family she has that truly loves her for who she is, without trying to fix supposed flaws," Mrs Weasley replied, patting Sirius' hand gently.

While Sirius and Mrs Weasley were talking, Christabel and Bill were trying to get Amara to walk. Bill sat on one side of the floor, about two feet from the table, and Christabel did the same, but on the other side of the floor. Christabel and Bill had been trying to get Amara to walk for an hour, but Christabel couldn't wait any longer, she really had to use the restroom. Standing up, Christabel smiled at Bill and Amara before she started to leave the room.

"Chrissy! Look!" Bill exclaimed, causing the girl to turn around.

Christabel watched as her daughter walked slowly towards Bill on her wobbly legs. Once Amara reached Bill, she threw herself into his chest, as her mother and Bill clapped and cheered for her.

"You did it!" Christabel exclaimed, causing Sirius and Mrs Weasley to enter the room.

"She did what?" Mrs Weasley asked, and Christabel turned to her with a large grin on her face.

"'Mara walked!" She answered happily, causing Sirius to crouch down to Amara's height.

"Hey, 'Mara, will you come to Padfoot?" He cooed, watching as Amara slowly pushed herself up from Bill.

Amara walked over to Sirius slowly, and once she reached him, she wrapped her arms lightly around his neck and laid her head on his shoulders with a giggle.

"Oh, you did, 'Mara. Padfoot is so proud of you," Sirius praised, as Amara picked up her head to smile at Sirius, while he peppered her face in kisses.

Christabel held out her hand to Bill, allowing him to grab it before she pulled him up from the floor. Once he was standing next to her, the two couldn't keep the grins off of their faces. Bill was so happy he got to experience such a moment with Christabel and Amara. Christabel was proud of her daughter, and happy she could share the moment with people she cared about. The two smiled at each other, their eyes holding more unrecognized emotion than their hearts would allow them to speak. They didn't realize that the moment they had shared with Amara, would mean more to them than they'd ever know...
