An hour into the dance, Christabel began to feel tired. After having Amara, Christabel really wasn't use to staying up past nine. The dance didn't end until midnight, but she knew she wasn't going to last for much longer. Fred, George, and Angelina couldn't tell how tired Christabel was, since she was so good at hiding it. From across the hall, Draco could tell his sister was tired, but he couldn't approach her. If he approached her, someone would tell his father and he, his sister, and his niece would be in a lot of trouble.
"Do you want some pumpkin juice or food?" Fred asked, as he and Christabel stepped away from all of the dancers.
"Pumpkin juice, I really need something to drink," Christabel replied, and Fred nodded.
The duo walked over to the table. Fred fixed them both juice, before handing a glass to Christabel. Christabel took a small drink and hummed. She would've took a larger drink, if she wasn't so use to following the rules of "being a girl" that her parents and made her learn since she was able to walk.
"Since we haven't talked in weeks, how are you? How's the family?" Christabel asked, causing Fred to shrug.
"I'm great actually. George is a pain in the arse. Ron keeps getting into trouble. Ginny is becoming way more sassy and outspoken. Percy is still a prat, like always. Charlie is working more at the sanctuary than before, but he said it beats sitting around and doing nothing. Bill is quite busy in Egypt, so we don't talk as much as Charlie and I. Mum and Dad are like they've always been. Actually, Mum wants to meet you soon, maybe when this school year ends," Fred stated, causing Christabel's heart to skip a beat.
"Well, Fred, I can't-" She began, before she was cut off.
"Miss Malfoy!" Zainy exclaimed, causing the girl to look down at her house elf.
"Zainy? What's wrong?" Christabel asked, as the elf seemed to be distraught.
"Zainy didn't want to bother, Miss Malfoy. Miss Malfoy looks so pretty. Alma sent Zainy to get Miss Malfoy. Alma wishes Miss Malfoy to come immediately. Alma says it's an emergency," Zainy stated, ad Christabel's eyes widened.
"Oh Merlin," Christabel whispered, before looking down at the elf again,"Thank you, Zainy. I'll be there in a minute. Go to Alma and see if she needs your help," She added, and the elf left immediately.
"Christabel-" Fred began, as George and Angelina started walking over.
"No, I-I've got to go. It's important," Christabel said, before turning away and running off.
"What was that?" George asked, seeing Christabel run off.
"I don't know, but if we follow her, we'll get the answers we've wanted," Fred replied, and George agreed.
Angelina walked away from the twins to talk to a couple of her friends, causing the twins to grin and run off towards the Slytherin common room where Christabel was headed. They approached the painting before it could close, so they stepped inside and watched Christabel make her way up a set of stairs opposite of all the other dorms.
"Alma, what's wrong?" Christabel asked, as she heard her daughter crying.
"She's sick, and running a fever. She's been coughing, her nose is stuffy, and she's thrown up a few times," Alma stated, causing the Malfoy girl to frown.
Christabel picked up her daughter and held her close, rocking her lightly and trying to soothe her. Fred and George heard noises from the dorm, causing them to become even more curious. Since Dumbledore knew the twins would eventually find out about Amara, the charm didn't keep them from walking up the stairs to Christabel's dorm. Peeking in, their eyes widened when they seen Christabel with a baby.
"Bel?" They called in unison, causing the girl's head to shoot up and stare at the twins with wide eyes.
"Fred, George, I-" Christabel began, before Alma cut her off.
"Would you like me to make them leave?" Alma asked, but Christabel simply shook her head.
"No, I've got to talk to them. Go to Madam Pomfrey and see if she has anything to help Amara," Christabel answered, and Alma quickly agreed.
Once the woman was gone, Christabel beckoned the twins to come into her dorm. She sighed slightly, as she took a cautious step towards the twins.
"Is this the secret you've been keeping from us?" Fred asked, causing the girl to nod.
"I didn't know how to tell anyone. I didn't want you two to hate me. The only people that know about her is my family, Dumbledore, and the rest of the professors," Christabel replied, biting her lip.
"We wouldn't hate you, Bel. We'd actually be happy for you. Im starting to think that's why you've avoided everyone and all of your classes," George commented, as Christabel shrugged.
"I did avoid everyone, but I began to do class work in my dorm without going to class. Mcgonagall said I'd be able to graduate this year if my grades stay perfect and I pass my tests. I wouldn't be able to do magic outside of school or apparate until I turn seventeen still, but Mcgonagall said she'd come to me when the time was right to make sure I could apparate correctly," Christabel stated, as the twins smiled.
"That's amazing, Bel. Will you be staying at the manor until you're of age?" Fred asked, causing Christabel to sigh.
"Actually, father made me leave the manor when I was close to having Amara. He doesn't want me to come back, but mother has been sending things to me that I need. She hired Alma and gave me Zainy," Christabel said, causing the twins' eyes to widen.
"Are you serious? Well, you'll be coming home with us at the end of the year. Mum would kill us if we left you here without anywhere to go after you graduate," George said, and Christabel tried to disagree.
"No point in arguing, Bel. We've made up our minds," Fred commented, as he and George stepped closer to see Amara,"so, can we hold our niece?" He asked, causing the girl to laugh.
She handed the sick baby over to Fred, knowing he and George would be very gentle and careful with her. She trusted them with her life, and she always would. Even though it took her forever to tell them about Amara, she still loved them and trusted them nonetheless. The twins knowing the truth just made everything easier for her...
