Bill had apparated them close to Grimmauld Place, and he walked the girls the rest of the way back. Once they were outside, he smiled to himself, before opening the door.
"Are you going to see your mum?" Christabel asked, and Bill nodded.
"Yes, but first, you and I are going to talk," He replied, causing her to nod as well.
As soon as they were inside, Bill took Christabel's hand and lead her to a room near the kitchen. Mrs. Weasley was busy, so she didn't see them come in, but Sirius did. Sirius smiled at Christabel, and she gave him a smile back. He knew to keep quiet about them coming home, since he could tell Bill was still wanting to talk to Christabel for a moment.
Amara was falling asleep on Christabel's shoulder, so Bill and Christabel had to ve somewhat quiet. Bill continued to hold Christabel's hand as they stood together in the secluded room away from Mrs. Weasley's eavesdropping.
"So, I know I really fancy you, Chrissy, and I hope you really fancy me, too--" He began, and Christabel cut him off.
"I do, Bill, I do really fancy you," She commented, causing him to smile.
"Well, you and I have been writing back and forth for a while, and this was our first date, but I was hoping that instead of drawing it out for a long time, since we both already know each other so well, I was thinking we could be together?" He questioned, making Christabel bite her lip.
"Like boyfriend and girlfriend?" She asked, causing him to smile with a light pink fade to his cheeks.
"Yeah, like boyfriend and girlfriend," He answered,"So, what do you think? Do you want to be my girlfriend?" He asked, making her smile.
"I'd love to be your girlfriend, Bill Weasley," She replied,"as long as you know that Amara is part of this relationship," She said, and he nodded.
"I know, and I'm not opposed to that. She's a great little girl; I absolutely love her. I'm happy to have you both," He replied, causing her to smile wider.
Leaning forward on her tip toes, Christabel placed a soft kiss on Bill's lips. He grinned, before pulling her to him once more, letting the kiss linger for a moment. The kiss didn't last long though, since Amara whined from being lightly squished between their bodies.
"Let's go face the music," Bill murmured, and Christabel bit her lip.
"How about we keep this from everyone until we've been together for a bit. I don't want anyone ruining this because of who I am, or the fact that I have a child," She said, making him sigh, but he nodded nonetheless.
"You're right, but we get to tell one person, 'cause I don't think I can keep this from Ian, he's my best friend, and he knows when I'm hiding something from him," He replied, causing her to nod.
"Fine, but I'm telling Sirius. He's the closest thing to a best friend, since I can't tell the twins without them telling the whole world," She answered, and he smiled.
Bill walked behind her, as the three headed to the kitchen. As soon as Christabel entered the kitchen, she brought Amara over to Sirius, and let him take the small baby from her arms.
"Look who I found while Amara and I were out," Christabel commented, pretending as if she hadn't went on a date with Bill.
Mrs. Weasley quickly turned around, and she gasped with a big smile on her face.
"Bill!" She exclaimed happily,"What are you doing here?" She asked, as she hugged her oldest son.
"I was picking something up at Gringotts, and I ran into Chrissy and Amara. I figured I could come home with them to say hello," He replied, keeping the charade going that Christabel was making.
"Are you staying for dinner?" She asked,"Your father will be back soon," She commented, but Bill shook his head.
"No, I'm sorry, Mum, I've got to get back, but I will stop by soon to see you all again," He answered, and she smiled.
Bill hugged his mother once more, then he decided to hug Christabel as well, though he made it look like it wasn't anything other than a hug. He did leave a gentle kiss on her cheek, though his mother couldn't see it. He then went over to Amara and ruffled her hair a bit, shaking hands with Sirius, before he left the home.
"Did you find out what he had to get from Gringotts?" Mrs. Weasley asked, as she set a bottle down in front of Sirius.
"No, he wouldn't tell me. He said it was classified or something. We might be able to get it out of him at his next visit," She replied, and Mrs. Weasley nodded.
Christabel made a mental note to tell Bill the lie, so he wouldn't mess it up for them. Mrs. Weasley left the room to tidy up somewhere, leaving Christabel and Sirius alone, as he fed Amara her bottle.
"So, how'd it go? Was he nice?" Sirius asked, causing Christabel to grin.
"The date was amazing—he was amazing. The day was perfect," She replied, biting her lip,"He asked me to be his girlfriend, but he and I want to keep it quiet. So, you can't tell anyone," She said, making him nod.
"I can do that," He replied,"but I am happy for you, Chrissy. You and Amara deserve this happiness, and I'm going to make sure you two stay happy with him," He added, smiling at the girl.
Christabel was thankful for Sirius, and all of the support the man gave her. If it wasn't for him, she doubted she would've ever given Bill another chance after he ran iur after kissing her. Bill and Christabel probably would've never gotten together as a couple if it wasn't for Sirius. He was definitely the one to thank when it came to their relationship...
