Christabel woke up the next morning to Amara playing with her hair. She smiled to herself, before sitting up and grabbing her daughter. A light knock on her door was heard moments later, before Sirius poked his head in to tell her everyone was waiting downstairs in the main room for her and Amara so they could open gifts. Christabel nodded and got out of bed, before she dressed herself and Amara.
"We'll have breakfast after gifts." Mrs. Weasley said, as she sat down near Mr. Weasley.
The only spot open was next to Bill, so Christabel slowly made her way over and sat down next to the oldest Weasley brother. Bill smiled at the girl, showing her that there wasn't an awkward feeling between them anymore. Fred and George were given the job of passing out gifts, as long as they acted right and didn't plan any pranks while passing them out.
Hermione had gotten Christabel a new journal and Amara a muggle skirt, which she had called a tutu and she had a matching shirt to go with it. Ron had gotten Christabel a box of chocolate frogs, and he collaborated with Hermione on a gift for Amara, so he got the girl a bow and sparkly shoes to go with her outfit. Harry refused to get them gifts, since he still didn't trust the Malfoy girls. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley gave Christabel and Amara handknitted sweaters with their first initial on them, which was known as 'Weasley Sweaters.' Christabel was told that the sweaters meant the girls were family now. Anyhow, Christabel's was green and Amara's was pink.
Fred and George had put their gifts together for the two Malfoys. They had bought Christabel sweets and a new scarf, and they bought Amara a toy broom and her own sweets. Percy didn't buy anyone anything, which nobody commented on, since everyone believed Percy was a git. Charlie bought Christabel a dragon charm necklace, and he bought Amara a stuffed dragon, specifically a Hungarian Horntail. He explained that the dragon was the most dangerous one ever encountered, so Christabel knew it was a pretty awesome gift for Amara, especially once she had him teach the girl about dragons when she got older. Ginny was unsure, so she just got both Malfoy girls sweets and a book. Sirius had bought Christabel a new dress and heels that went together, and he bought Amara a few toys and clothes.
When it came to Bill's gift, Bill became nervous about how Christabel would react. He had gotten her a few different things that he had broken curses from. When she opened her gift, she thought it was actually pretty awesome. He had gotten Amara a couple books, which included his favorite children's stories, as well as a small bracelet he had charmed to grow with her. He placed the small bracelet on her wrist, which had also been charmed not to break or come off if Amara tried to put it in her mouth.
Christabel hadn't set her gifts under the tree for everyone, so she summoned them once she had opened all of hers. There was a large pile for Amara, which consisted of toys, shoes, clothes, accessories, books, etc., which Bill had decided to help her start opening, as Christabel handed out gifts. She was going to finish helping her daughter open gifts once she handed all of the other ones out.
She had bought Mrs. Weasley a new pair of shoes and new cookware. Mr. Weasley recieved a new suit and tie, along with a couple muggle objects she had gotten Hermione's help to get. Charlie recieved a new dragon-fire proof outfit and shoes, which was somewhat hard for Christabel to find. The twins recieved sweets and more supplies for their products they were making. She had gotten Sirius new clothes, as well as a gag gift which was a collar and a chew toy, which he ironically loved.
Ron recieved chocolate frogs and a new broom. She bought Harry new quidditch gloves, though he didn't buy her or her daughter anything. She had also gotten Percy a new stationary set, though he hadn't bought anyone anything. She got Hermione new quills and a couple of books she found in a muggle book store when she was shopping for Mr. Weasley's gift with Hermione. She bought Ginny new quidditch gloves and a new broom. Finally, she had gotten Bill a new earring since his was looking a bit worn, and she also got him a couple outfits that were charmed to keep people cool in hot weather.
Once everyone recieved their gifts and Amara finished opening all of hers, everyone made their way into the kitchen. Well, everyone but Bill and Christabel. Charlie had taken Amara with him into the kitchen to eat, since he knew his brother wanted time to speak to Christabel alone. When everyone was out of the room, the two turned towards each other and stayed silent for a moment. The silence was broken when Christabel hugged Bill.
"Thank you for our gifts, Bill. They were great." Christabel murmured, and Bill smiled.
"Thank you for my gifts. They're amazing." He replied, causing her to smile as well.
The two went quiet again, as they looked at the mess of gifts strewn around the room. Christabel quickly waved her wand and sent her and Amara's gifts to the room she was staying in while at Sirius's. She had sent a gift to Lupin as well, which was a new coat, a couple new outfits, and some new shoes. She knew he'd be very thankful, and she wrote a note refusing to take them back from him.
Christabel was torn out of her thoughts when Bill grasped her face gently and pulled her to him, kissing her without a second thought. She smiled into the kiss, closing her eyes to savor the moment. When they pulled away, they both sighed happily. Neither thought about the fact that Bill would be leaving once the holidays were over and she wouldn't see him again for a while...
