Christabel and Bill had exchanged letters between each other for a couple of weeks. Bill would ask her often about how she and Amara were doing, and if his mother and Sirius were truly helping her out like they had told him they would. Christabel didn't know the extent of Bill's conversations with Mrs. Weasley and Sirius about her and her daughter.
'Dear Chrissy,
We've been exchanging letters for a bit of time now. I sit, anticipating what your next letter will say every day after work. I miss you and Amara. You two have become important people in my life. I've told my best friend, Ian, about you two. Ian wants to meet you someday. He believes you and Amara are two of the smartest people he's ever heard of.
If you'd like like to know, Ian is a half-blood. His mother was a muggle, and his father was a pureblood wizard. His father had been disowned when he married Ian's mother. Ian's father actually had a child with pureblood woman when he was sixteen, but the woman had died in childbirth. The idea of that scared me, and made me worry that you could've easily died when having Amara.
Anyway, Ian's sister, Emari, is a lovely woman. Her husband is nice, too, and so are her twins, a boy and a girl. Their names are Gary and Gail, and they're three years old. Long story short, I want you and Amara to meet them one day. Maybe you two could come visit me for a while when things aren't too hard.
We can talk more about that later though, since I want to give you time to think it over. Also, I want to see you both again. So, I was hoping you could meet me later, since I know this letter will reach you around twelve in the morning. I want you and Amara to meet me at the Leaky Couldron at four this afternoon for dinner. I will bring you back to Grimmauld Place before I go back to Egypt. I hope to see you there.
Yours Truly,
Bill W.'Christabel felt a smile grace her lips when she read the letter, but almost instantly she realized that she hadn't read the letter until almost one in the afternoon. She had to tell Sirius and Mrs. Weasley that she and Amara were going out. She also had to get herself and Amara ready for the date.
When Christabel went downstairs, she didn't see Mrs. Weasley around in the kitchen. Amara was taking a nap in Christabel's room, so she knew the woman wasn't with Amara. She figured the woman went out for groceries, but instead of wondering about it for too long, she simply decided to ask Sirius, since he was sitting at the kitchen table drinking.
"Where's Mrs. Weasley?" She asked, causing Sirius to look up at her.
"Went to buy food. Apparently we don't have enough here to feed us," He answered, making her chuckle.
"Sirius, I have to go out for a bit, but I'll be back later," Christabel said, causing Sirius to raise his eyebrow.
"Yeah?" He questioned,"Where are you going?"
"Oh, Amara and I are going out on a date," She replied, making him smirk.
"With who?" He asked,"Not cheating on Bill are we?"
"No!" She exclaimed,"Bill's the one that asked the two of us to go out with him. He wanted to see Amara and I, but don't tell Mrs. Weasley that's where we're going. She'll want to see Bill, and Bill's busy. I think he's only coming here to see us, but if he has time, he'll surprise her, I suppose," She said, making he man nod.
"I'll keep that to myself. If she asks, I'll tell her your mother wanted to see you for the first time since you had Amara, and without Cinderella around to make you upset," He answered, and she smiled.
"Thank you, Sirius," She murmured, causing him to simply smile and shrug.
"Once you pick out an outfit, let me see it. I'll let you know if it's nice, or if you look like a scrub," Sirius commented, making the girl roll her eyes jokingly.
"Whatever you say, fashion police," She retorted, walking up the stairs as he laughed.
Christabel went up to her room and began searching through her closet. Since they were only going to the Leaky Cauldron, she didn't have to dress very fancy. She didn't want to look bad though, so she was having a bit of trouble finding the perfect outfit. So, Christabel went right back downstairs and pulled Sirius up from his seat, before she made him come to her room to look through her closet.
"Where is this date taking place?" He asked, as he glanced through her dresses, blouses, and other tops.
"The Leaky Cauldron," She replied, and he nodded.
After a few moments, Sirius finally found an outfit for Christabel, before he started looking through Amara's clothes to find her an outfit as well.
"You should take a quick shower. I'll watch Amara while you shower," He said, causing the girl to nod.
Christabel went straight to the bathroom for a shower. The shower didn't take too long, but she felt more and more excited while she showered. She made sure she washed well and that her hair was clean, before she stepped out of the shower. She then used her wand to dry and curl it in loose curls. She then started to do a little makeup on her face. She didn't want to look too over painted.
Once she was done with her makeup, she pulled on her panties and bra, before wrapping her towel around her and going to her room. Sirius gave her a grin, before he left the room to let her get ready on her own. He also wanted to stall Mrs. Weasley if she was back from shopping. He knew Christabel was nervous about the date, but from the smile on her face, he knew she was also very excited...
