3rd Person's POV:
Exactly 2 weeks have passed when the colossals had finally put an end to the ruin that is believed to be the main hideout of shape-shifters.
But apparently, those investigation records that were given in the school were false since they encountered several demons, not shifters.
Nevertheless everything is now going properly, students began coming back to school looking healthy like before except they don't feel like attending any classes... And hopefully by now they will not eat any more cupcakes from strangers they've just met.
Things are working properly now, surely everything is in peace... Right?
Just after the second period, lian was immediately summoned at the principal'd office to talk about some "highly confidential" secrets.
Lian: If it's a secret why bother tell me?
Lian stated from his mind as he made his way to the office looking usual as always.
Once he had arrived, the atmosphere of the office felt very odd.
The silence in there was very loud as well.
Lian saw the beastmen sitting at their respective seats along with the principal who for some reason still isn't greeting him.
Probably didn't notice him yet.
Lian: Uh, hey.
All heads turned to the young male.
"Lian, please take a seat" the principal ordered in which lian followed.
Lian: What's going on here? And what is this confidential thing that you want to talk about?
The principal didn't bother in saying a word.
Lian: Max? Is there something you want to talk about.
Max: Yes actually, there is something we have to discuss with you, the principal might want to do the honors.
Max turned to the principal but only received a nod from him.
He then stood up and activated the projector in which then revealed an unfamiliar logo for lian.
Lian: What is that?
"That is the school symbol of our one and only partnered school, 'Crystal Heartline Academy' "
Lian rose a brow.
Lian: Crystal Heartline Academy? Okay, never knew this school has partnered with another school.
"We like to keep that information very hidden amongst all the other students here, but since you being a member of the colossals I suppose you have also the right to know this"
Lian: Wait what are we heading on about here?
The principal took a sigh.
"Ever since you perfectly reached victorious on your previous mission, the top leaders of the Crystal Heartline Academy 'CHA for short' took notice of this accomplishment and decided to contact Alphaline Academy, our school"
Lian: Okay, no need to be that very specific.
"On the call, they have mentioned that they want to hold another "Cross-Battle" between the students of Alphaline, and the students of Crystal Heartline"
Lian: Wait hold on, I thought this information was highly secretive?
"The Cross Battle was once a competition that's been known by students over the previous generations, but due to the massive incident it had caused it must now remain a secret, we are doing our part in making it a secret, I do not know if Heartline is doing theirs"
Lian: Wait what incident? Sorry.
"Lian we can't discuss every single detail about everything at the moment"
Lian noticed blizzard next to him giving him a wink and a quiet click on his tongue.
Lian: Of course, sorry principal, please continue.
"Now, let us proceed on our main problem here"
Sliding the picture from the projector to the next part, the principal showed four pictures of beastmen.
Lian: Who are those?
Max growled at just the sight of them.
Lian took notice but didn't bother to ask.
"These beastmen are the 'Bearer of Peace' they are the very rivals of the colossals, your rivals to be exact"
Lian: Rivals...
"These students are the prime fighters of the CHA, they possess the main four elements of the world, it's been a while ever since I heard from them again, I don't know how much they've grown"
Lian just stared at each respective pictures of their rivals.
"Now, with the cross-battle between us and them are announced, I have no doubt that they are gonna use them against you five"
Lian: Interesting...
"We've lost for the past years that's why I was thinking of declining their offer but doing so will drag our name into the dirt"
Lian: So, you agreed to let us fight them?
"Unfortunately yes, I apologize for that, it may sound very greedy of me but I cannot let our good name go into the garbage pile"
Lian gulped, he had never fought another student in ages, what if he accidentally kills one of them?
After the meeting was finished, lian tried to create contact between the beastmen but all of them were too drowned in anxiety and anger.
All those emotions mixing up is keeping lian from talking to them.
Lian: Great, now they're too stressed to even talk to me...
Lian looked at his feet and back to front when he noticed something move quickly into the corner in one of the hallways.
Lian: Hmm...
Slowly approaching it he immediately gasped when someone startled him.
Lian: GAH! Charlotte! You startled me!
Charlotte: Oops, sorry.
Lian took a deep sigh.
Lian: This is just great.
