Lian's POV:
I was waiting just outside my house, charlotte was already packing some things but I told her don't bring too much stuff because we won't be long.
She must be very excited right now, I texted her over and over but all she replied back to me was emojis.
I didn't bother to message her again and waited for a few minutes.
Few seconds have passed and I already received a couple of messages, I assumed it was Charlotte just flexing her outfit but I was wrong.
It was max, I totally forgot that he was coming along with us, that boy's got issues.
Finally after a few minutes Charlotte arrived, carrying a traveler's backpack full of... "Essential needs" according to her.
"What's in the bag?" I took the bag away from her and inspected the inside and all pockets.
"What the?!" I pulled out some of her makeup kit, a face mask, a sleeping bag.
"What? It's essential needs" she defended.
"This is your essential needs!" She gave me a guilty smile letting me know that she messed up pretty bad.
"Don't worry! I can make things work out" she took the bag back and put all of the items I pulled out.
I closed my eyes in annoyance and took a deep breath.
-- A few hours later --
We then arrived on the hills just outside of town, Charlotte was the one who went inside first leaving me and max, I looked at him as he stared back at me.
I averted my eyes as we both catched up with the leading girl.
"Tell me again why we're here?" I asked her completely lost track on where we are even going.
"I heard a rumor that deep within these hills rests a golden elephant! And I need to take a picture!" She exclaimed excitedly as she hopped straight inside.
"How are you so sure that this creature is real?"
"Internet"
I sighed once again as we kept walking through the hills.
A few moments passed and Charlotte was very far away from me and max, I looked at max as he let out an uncomfortable laugh while rubbing the back of his neck.
"So...." He cut the silent atmosphere between us.
"Huh?"
"Is she always like that?" Max pointed at Charlotte who was moving like a lost worm while examining the map she had printed.
"Oh! Yeah she is sometimes like that, I'm really sorry max for bringing you in such a horrible and boring trip, we really didn't plan very well on this adventure, well maybe Charlotte"
