garen pov
I woke up in a that strange shack, I wanted to get up and run but my strength had not yet caught up with me. I looked around to find a girl sitting next to my bed while my eyes were still squinted it looked like that same girl as had sat with me so long ago in the same situation, when I opened my eyes further it was comfirmed when she looked at me with those big blue eyes while they used to seem full of joy they now looked to be empty almost, there just wasnt the same spark as before, it was almost depressing, I noticed her mouth was moving and was torn from my trance. "I'm sorry I was a little distracted what did you ask again?" I looked at her as apologeticly as I could but she seemed to get a little angry.
"Don't worry about it, How are you feeling?" she could hide it pretty good ill give here that she sounds happy almost.
"I'm fine, thanks, I do however have a question if I may?" She nodded her go ahead.
"Do you ever remember seeing me?" I could see truth and lies racing through her eyes.
Adaya pov
So he does remember me then, though Im not sure if I can trust him so much I had better keep to myself. "No, on the road there is the the first time I've seen you. Now do you think you can walk?"
"Well I won't know until I try now will I?" he smiled at me I spose trying to lighten the mood, I smiled back I had mastered the art of hiding what I was thinking and feeling in order to keep Liya happy, who wouldve known it would come so inhandy with other people. I helped him to his feet, and had to allow him to lean on me for a time but after a short walk he was able to stand on his own, I had'nt given him the antidote right and I could tell. but it was not really somthing I was used to eather, animals tend to not mess with me and my sister, so animal bites are somthing I tend not to have to treat. he would still recover though just a little slower than he should if what I read in the books is true him being a high elf should help him recover a little faster too.though if he was a dark elf he wouldnt have even noticed the snake, I read they are resistent to all poisins.
probably for the best though if he was a dark elf he might have been pretty course with me right now."erm....Im sorry about your hand. I thought your intentions were a little differrent......" I was not used to apologies, or anything to do with other people really. so I think it probably came out like I really was'nt cause I kinda had a smirk on my face for a bit.
he just gave a short chuckle. "don't worry about it, If I was course with everyone who tried to kill me then I'd have no freinds." He gave a wink in my direction as he dipped the ladel into the stream and took a sip of the water. it was pretty clear that that was somthing he needed because you could almost see the energy start coursing through him. he got up and offered me the ladel which I took and downed fairly quickly, now that he had his energy back though would he bring other men here, he seems a good man he seemed a good man last time as well and he returned with far more violent men than himself.
"I dont think I ever asked your name, M'lady?"
"Its Adaya." I decided I did not want his name if he came back with other he would be the first to fall.
"Adaya, a beautiful name, I am Garen." aand he told me anyway. "Might I invite you to our fort there is food bedding and we could do with a good healer, such as yourself. your freind could come along as well." we were just about to walk through the door when he said that and just as fast I had him on the ground with my knife to his throat.
"What did you say?"
"err it was just an offer....." I pressed the the knife a little closer.
"No about my 'freind'" He swallowed and began to rethink his words. it was too late he knew about my sister, I cannot let anything happen to her.
I was about to finnish it when that small voice came to his rescue. "Addy? what are you doin?"
I looked back to the man "nothing Liya, I thought I told you to hide."
She walked over to us and started to dig through my satchel. "you forgot the cookies."
I started to laugh and allowed garen to get up. "Garen, I beileve it is time for you to leave, you would not want to keep your men waiting no would you?"
he got a confused expression on his face, but took his que. "er.. of course Lady Adaya farwell." he made quick steps back to his horse we had tied to a tree and trod off back towards the trail he came from.
I will most likely regret that later." Come Liya let us prepare the cookies." Her face began to glow and she ran inside, with me close behind, I have to admit I was looking forward to them as well.
