Running through the woods beside Thorin, I could hear a battle in the distance, Cries of war and pain all mixing together into one big hideous sound. We picked up our speed until we came to a creek, Thorin stopped me, we came upon a small cave just large enough for the two of us to fit in. Though only I was sat inside. My brother was saying something, I heard him, it just wasn't processing, mother, farher, and liya were all at the caravan, we need to hurry and get there.

I was ripped back into reality by a second explosion, I was no longer in in my small cave, safe from danger, but running out of a cave, towards a battle sounding the same as before. Cries of war, and pain. I drew my short blade and picked up my speed. Though as soon as I made it out into the light I was stopped in my tracks. A large gaping hole stood right in the center of the fort wall, soldiers poured through clashing with those inside. There were so many, there's no way they will win this, it will be as it were five years ago, a carpet of bodies soon to turn to bone and dust. The hole must be closed. I sheathed my blade, it would do no good in saving many.

My fingers pressed to the ground, I did somthing simple, it would stem the flow of soldiers. Vines shot out of the earth whipping around knocking the soldiers this way and that, pushing them back from the gap, once the flow had stopped completely, and they were all on one side or the other, I pressed harder shooting more and more vines from the ground making them taller until they were even with the top, I pressed them together until they were a solid wall. I took my hand from the ground though I didn't feel exahsted as I had expected, I felt a surge of power shoot through me. I pulled my bow and began moving towards the soldiers that has made it past the wall.

We were running towards the wall, leaving the defenses unguarded, I readied a spell holdind a ball of ice.
We had just entered the Frey when vines shot from the ground at the wall, knocking the order away, I moved next to Helena releasing my ball of ice into the masses. "Helena! We need to go, the wall is secured!"

"I know!" She finished another two of the order backing out of the masses. "Hunters! Retreat!" All of us took off, running back into the Forest and to our wall. Soldiers were moving from the other side, not the order. Dwarves. Are they on our side?

Helena motioned for us to hide, then approached them. I held a cloud of smoke for incase we had to get her out.

"Adaran travelers. I am sorry we cannot offer you anything at the moment, our home is under siege." I had the other hunters ready themselves for a fight.

A dwarf in steal plated armour pushed his horse in front of The rest of the army. "Aye we heard, that is why were here lass, now point us to this order of majora. I think it's time they made scarce." I think he's drunk. An elf pushed to the front, it was the messenger if I remember correctly his name was Ainos.

"Ah, your late you know. We thought we might not have any reinforcement, the order is at the wall attempting to breach again I'm sure.

"Then let's go to war boys!" He looked down to the wood elf. "thank you lass, will you ride with us in our charge?"

The girl looked a bit confused for a moment. " We have traps on the field. Follow me and I will guide you around them." We did as she said, I gave her my horse and stayed at the makeshift wall. I looked on the field and instantly seen where the traps were. Bodies piled to the brim of a hole, a little further down a mass of them were impaled on stakes, it looked as though they ran right into them. At the wall I saw the rest covering their heads with shields to avoid arrows. They have everyone there, with the exception of about thirty men they had left behind to guard a few prisoners and slaves. We killed the guards obviously, two of the human prisoners claimed to be wardens, while the third was a wood elf. They charged in with the dwarves, the slaves were a mix of races a few high elves, a few humans, some snow elves even, they did not like it there for sure. But they stayed at the wall with me, too undernourushed to fight. I looked over the fort for for damages, a whole part of the wall has been replaced with a wall of roots it looked like.

The dwarves charged from the woods to the side of the order. The order never had a chance. Taken by surprise an so much less than the five hundred they were when they had come, they were made short work of.

The last of the order inside the wall had been cut down or captured. Someone yelled somthing from atop the wall and the gates opened. We all ran to the doors so as not to let anyone in, when they opened the order were surrounded by men on horses. The battle had been won. We were lucky this time.

We had moved our prisoners to the cells in the dungeon, luckily there were a lot of cells.

"What the hell were you thinking?!" I turned to see Yennefer stalking towards me, "Do you have no idea as to what stay out of the battle means!?"

"I..." She cut me off.

"Do you have any idea what your mother would have done if she seen this?! You will be a Queen! You cannot put your life in danger like that, it wouldn't just hurt you, it would hurt us all!"

How would she even know what my mother would think? And what makes her think I'll be a queen at that? "I will not be a queen! And what my mother would have thought doesn't matter, she is dead!" That's the first time I've ever actually said that out loud. "The last five years I have done perfectly fine with no guidance from anyone, I think I will make just fine without it now! I'm going home. You can visit when you've cooled off, if I have too, then I may let you in." I walked past the speechless woman towards my house. The civilians would be back soon enough and I needed to make sure the house was still livable for Liya.

Sorry I haven't been updating very much lately.

My brother was tryin to be funny in front of his friends. He put the back side of a machete to my throat, not the sharp part, but one hand went up and grabbed his arm, the other hand grabbed the blade of the machete. He tried to pull away before I did but that made it worse, I got 6 stitches in my hand now, so I'm usin the left hand, it goes so slow cause I have to go back and correct a million mistakes just to make the story readable.

I hope your liking it so far, and thanks for readin.
