I watched from my door as liya played with the other kids, what used to be a group of five has become a group of fifteen, I couldn't help but be proud of her as she stopped one little boy from bullying another, didn't even hurt the boy just tapped his shoulder and talked to him a moment before he helped the other up and they began playing together.

"well you seem happy today." I jumped at the voice, it was Garen.

"In gonna drown you." I lamely threatened, he put his hands in the air in mock surrender.

"no need to get violent. I brought you something."

"sorry you just startled me......wait what'd you bring?" I couldn't help but be curious about this one.

"Well a while back I came across this necklace, the vendor said it was from the wood elves, so I thought you might like it." He held out a small box, I took it hesitantly not sure what he wanted in return."it's not going to bite you. Just open it."

I did as instructed and lifted the lid. The amulet was small it had A blue topaz in the center of a carved wooden tear shaped casing, it was faded but for some reason it glowed in my eyes like a peice of gold held in front of a pirate. I closed the lid ending my little trance and handed it back to him, I cannot pay for this."

"well that's ok because it's already been paid for. Now turn around so I can put it on you." I looked at him dumbly as twirled his finger signaling me to turn, still unsure what he wanted in return I did so slowly. I saw the glowing price of jewelry move past my head and felt it rest on the top of my shirt, I wanted to move it to the skin, like doing so would be the most comforting thing in the world, I wanted the cold stone and warm wood even if it was just for a moment. Garen turned me to face him. "well what do you think?" He asked holding a mirror in front of me, it was beautiful. I moved my hand to the chain stopping just over the amulet. I should resist untill I get away from other people.

" It feels weird, like it wants me to touch it. Can you take me to a more secluded spot? I do not know what will happen when I do."

"Of course, follow me." Garen began to lead the way to whatever the place was.

I stood in front of the newly built escape tunnels, Gretha myself and the other workers admired our work.

"well now it is time for the desighns." A young wood elf chimed in, she walked up and began to exam in the wood then moved to one of the workers. "your too tall, can you kneel down so I can take a look?" The man looked confused, he was a high elf at least 500 years old being told to kneel by a twelve year old wood elf. But he did as she asked.

"what are you gonna do?" He asked as his face came level with hers.

"I just need to see what kind of desighn would suit it best." She stared into the mans eyes for a few seconds then shook her head, she moved back to the structure and quickly made a small engraving in the wood. She then moved to the next worker a human, short and stocky he did not need to kneel so she just tilted his head towards her, she repeated this tactic multiple times looking into the eyes then making a small engraving, she came to me last, I went ahead and kneeled down. She took my head and aligned her eyes with mine.

" your all so curious. Has no one ever decorated for you?"

I stood when she was done and had moved to the wall making her last sketch. "what do you mean?" Gretha and I moved to the wall, she had sketched every name in a different design, she was still sketching mine it it was in the language of my homeland, Vein Beil, I looked at the other names each written in a different language, I assume the language of their homelands as well.

"How did you....." I was cut off by a deafening ring and a blinding bright white light.

Everyone readied for someone to attack.

" what was that?" I asked Gretha he turned to me looking oddly calm, though he ussually does.

"I do not know but it came from the old courtyard." He ran that way with myself and two guards in tow.

"Garen! Whats happening?!" I was a little panicked as soon as I had grabbed the amulet everything went black, flashing images in front of me, too fast for me to see, when the dissipated I was about twenty feet off the ground on a thick log, there were vines weaving all around the ground below, Garen was trying to make his way to me, but the vines kept pushing him back, he tried to slash at them with his sword only to have it snatched away by one of the vines. "hold on Adaya, I will get some help!"
