Adaya pov

I have no idea how long I fought them off, each time I would take one another five grabbed hold. It felt as if I had been fighting for years, nonstop push and be pushed harder. I was weary almost defeated a hundred times, each time I found a reason to keep going. This time though, I couldn't find any reason that could overshadow the creature.

When I was pulled into the backgrounds of my own mind, I could still feel my body. I just couldn't control, see, or hear anything. I was just floating through the recesses of darkness feeling everything they did but unable to do anything about it. I felt as my hand wrapped the familiar grip of a bow, as my body slipped into the armour I had become accustomed to, even the feel the sun warming my skin as I stepped out the door. But I had no control, no sight smell or hearing.

Then a force jolted down my arms. The feel of hitting someone it was never a feeling I liked. It meant someone's death was near. It was followed by a killer pain up my ankles. My blade was pulled. Lunged into body after body. My muscles began to fatigue but whatever the other thing in my mind was, it didn't feel it. I never slowed never rested just kept pushing further and harder. This feels wrong, whatever is controlling my body feels nothing and is killing. A lot.

Helena pov

"Laila!" I ran to the limp body of my sister. She still breathed, though it was shallow, and pained. She stared at me with scared eyes. Fading eyes. She tried to speak but only managed a groan. " Just hold on. You have to." It was a low whisper coupled with sobs. I already knew in my head, she was too far gone. But my heart, it was unwilling to accept the death of another family member. Then she stopped breathing. I let out a scream of mixed anger and sorrow. Adaya will pay for this.

I lifted myself from the lifeless body of my sister and turned to the target I thought I would never have to go for. She faced me as well, her eyes cold as ice, no longer the bright light shining blue, but a dark full green. At least I can do this knowing I am not truly fighting who was my friend. I lifted my sword. As did she. We both attacked at once swinging dodging and blocking. This played on reapeat for at least an hour, then I began to tire. She did not. Our blades locked together.

"what have they done to you? Why do you fight us? Are we not the ones you called friend and family only a week ago?" She pushed me and my blade away.

" Adaya is not present fool girl. Now die." She swung at me again. A high and powerful swing that sent my sword flying across the field. I backed away before she was able to run me through.

Panting I attempted another attack, with my dagger. She knocked me to the side and to the ground. I sat up, accepting my fate. "If your not Adaya then who are you?"

"I am Dak Chenak. And you will all die at my hand." She approached and put the sword to my throat. I did not struggle or resist, I just let tears roll down my face I no longer felt betrayed just defeated.

"Noo!" The blade was tore away from my throat as Dak went flying across the ground tangled with someone else. My brother Haren. I forced myself up moving towards them. Haren was never a fighter he would not last against her.

As I closed in he was overpowered and forced into his back. A dagger was drawn and plunged into his chest. Right through his armour and everything. "Haren no!" I ran any tackled her off I think I seen yennefer running towards us but my focus was on The possessed Adaya. I still felt no betrayal but whatever had control of her had to die. Which also meant if Adaya was still in there, she would too. I drew my dagger and plunged for the heart. It only went halfway in as this Dak grabbed my arms. I pushed harder. She didn't even feel it.

Yennefer pov

I ran towards Adaya and Helena seeing the bracelet on her wrist. She is being controlled just as I was. Adaya turned over on top of Helena, she pulled the dagger and was about to drop it on helenas heart when a jaguar tackled her down another five came up and restrained her. They knew this was not Adaya, mother of the wood, they knew she was possessed somehow. I ran to them and grabbed the bracelet it wouldn't budge. Adaya screamed as I pulled and pulled at it. I ignored them, her pain is worth what comes after. "Artounous!...Artounous!" I did not let up my asault on the jewelry as he came behind me. " How do I get this off of her?" I let him grab the bracelet. He drew his knife and jot her in the head, she passed out. Adaya fell unconscious. I grabbed her from the animals who acted as an honor guard as I toted her off the field.
