Helena pov
Artunous and I carved our way past the door there were still few guards here, most were out in the city fighting the rest of our army. I wound up following Artunous because he had been here before and knows the layout, and defenses. As we made our way through the halls we ran into one of the royal family a young boy no older than 13 surprisingly I was the one to stop artunous from killing the boy, kings son or no he was too young to be killed. He would probably die out in the Forrest anyway though, he lives a life of luxury, not survival.
" You should have let me kill the boy. He may very well be the one to mount a counter when were done here."
"Possibly, but we wood elves they hate so much, we know the value of life. Now let's get that mage of yours."
We made Our way down multiple halls and stairs before finally coming to a stone door. It was twice the size of a troll and about as difficult to open. So while I pushed and shoved, artunous uncovered a panel and pulled the lever. It opened faster than I had expected and I halfway tumbled through. I looked around to see that all the mages but one were in a cell, the remaining mage was in fact a warden though, Kellion, that explains why we had no fireballs flying out way during the attack.
"Wheres the archmage?" Artunous walked up to him.
"Right there." Kellion pointed towards a cell on the end and handed him some keys.
Artunous moved to unlock the cell. "where is the artifact you used for Adayas possession?"
"As though I would tell you. Leave me to rot here whelp."
"Its not just rotting that you'll do I'd you don't tell me where it is." His voice never lifted, it stayed a low tone, though the words he said suggested nothing good.
" Even if you get the artifact there's no guarantee that she'll make it through another ritual. We attempted it five times already just to possess her in the first place, even then we wound up having to use dak chenok. He will never let her go alive." Artunous grabbed the man his shirt and lifted him till their faces were centimeters apart.
" You obviously have not seen the resiliance of a wood elf, and this one, she is stronger than any I've ever known." I never thought he seen us that way.
The mage let out a sigh. " It is in the desk there. Will you let me live?"
"Yes, I hand you to Helena, your actions has gotten her whole family killed, you are at her mercy."
The mage landed at my feet. He tried to crawl away but I kicked his arms from under him. "why would you do such a thing?" I grabbed him and slammed him against the wall.
"It's my job knife ear" he had a look of complete hatred for me, no sorrow for what he'd done. Then he would receive no mercy. I threw him on the desk and forced his hands in front of him.
"You show no remorse for your actions, so I must show you the punishment for forcing a wood elf into anything." I drew my sword and cleaved off his hands. I had learned from my sister, to be a mage you need a hand and a tongue. No hands, no more possession." May each time you wish to pick up a loaf of bread, or cast a spell remind you of your actions."
I looked to the cells. " Helena, they were forced into the job, they all regret their actions." It was Kellion.
"Good." I turned and followed the two out the door.
Adaya pov
"I think this one should be next, dont you agree?" Dak stood behind yennefer and drug a claw across her throat. She spit and sputtered until finally she quit breathing and disappeared. I kept reminding myself this wasn't real just stood and watched. Each time I try to physically resist, he gets stronger. So I will stand and watch as he does as he pleases. "Ok, what of sister?" He moved behind Liya. Fake or not, I cannot let my sister die. Just imagening it makes me weak.
I lunged attempting to cut the beast in half, only to meet air. "Quit this mockery Dak! Have you no honor that you would just take my mind and body without giving me any chance to avert it!"
He laughed. " No. Honor doesn't fit into my plan. I am here only to reighn chaos upon your world."
