Garen pov
Adaya burst through the door seemingly on a mission, she went to the commander checking him for something. When she was done she came to Me still on the bed.
"stand." The order was simple enough so I stood she went straight to prodding at the scar.
"ow what are you doing there?" She quit the prodding then moved over and opened the door.
"it's time for you to go. I'm sure Duncan will want to see you, check the castle."
She seemed angry and not ready to let it go, so I left heading for the castle looking for Duncan I'll be back though, when she has calmed a bit and speaking to her might actually be effective.
I strode through the streets and was saved the trip when I found Duncan speaking with a guard. "Warden."
"I'll be with you in a moment." He didn't even look away, I decided to take advantage of this and make the guard laugh. I took two fingers and put them above his head giving the illusion of him having bunny ears, the guard rolled his eyes. I moved picking up lizard from from off a windowsill and lay it on his coat. It moved up to the shoulder earning my laugh from the guard.
"This is not a laughing matter son, pay attention." The guard made the attempr not to laugh again but the urge was too great when I began to lick my finger and move it towards his ear. The guard laughed just before I got there. "damnet boy what did I just tell you?" The guard was about to warn him of the danger to his ego but was too late I shoved my finger in his ear, the old man whipped around and threw me across the street drawing his sword all in one moition.
I hit hard and it did knock Me breathless but I was still laughing, as I heard Duncan doing as well. He picked me up "you bloody fool, you'll get yourself killed like that." He wrapped me in a relieved embrace.
"haha warden I think it's time you filled me in on recent events."
"right you are Garen, come on if I run this place myself another day I may become a mad man."

"Get them out of here, you are the last defense when they get past us!" I ordered another five hunters to join the group. Quinn seemed to be in shock still so I grabbed the shoulder of the young hunter and turned him the opposite way of the oncoming force. "Go boy! There isn't much time left." He moved in a trance like state towards the group, then sprung into action yelling at the people to move. I turned to the men and women I had left here. "This is it, I will not lie to you we are running to the butchers on this one. But our sacrifice will buy our family the much needed time to escape. So I ask, will they run us down? Will they get the smallest chance at catching our kin? Not while I breath!" That horrible speach actually got the reaction of a true army we knew we would die. It was inevitable. But they had smiles on their faces they got my message that we would save the rest.
I drew my sword and shield then joined the ranks. The charge had not slowed but when they hit our little surprise they might think twice while advancing. "hold!" Helena my daughter who I could not convince to run had taken charge now. I was proud and sad all at once. "hold!" The wall of armour we're only fifty yards away when she gave the order. "now!" The archers pulled the vines sending spikes up too close for the men to stop it took more than half the force by surprise impaling them on our first defense. "secondary" the soldiers dropped their shields and yanked another set of vines collapsing several trees on the incoming force. Now it's up to us. "Archers!" An unending hail of arrows peirced many of the incoming soldiers they were close enough I could see the fear and determination in their eyes. With shields over their heads the still charged the hunters reclaimed their shields and readied. "to not let s single one pass!" My daughter's last order before we were now pushing against the wave of majoras armies they still had over five hundred left against our one hundred. But they will not pass not while I and these men breath.
We shoved at the wall and sent our spears into the first line instantly taking refuge behind out shields again.
Our defenses broke after another six lines, we had lost no hunters while they have lost at least five hundred Helenas plan was working better than expected. But now that they were past our traps arrows and wall of men it is only our skill in battle that could save us now. I drove my sword into a young soldier not letting my feelings for taking the life of another's son get in my way, I moved in cutting down multiple others when balls of flame began to fly towards us, a mage. I sent the one mage we had, my other daughter with my son and rest of the of my people for protection. I sought the man out he stood on the other side of the field. Just as I started to make my way over Helena came from nowhere cutting the man down, I could not help but let out a cheer "Good job my girl!" She could not hear me but it had to be said
I carved a path to her she had picked up a bow and was now taking down the men gaurding the general, he looked scared I wonder how many times this man had actually fought.
All of them were dead and now she stood over the over adorned general about to end this battle when a bolt of lightning sent her flailing. I watched in horror still cutting my way towards her, my moment of heartbreak gave my opponent his opening, before I knew it I had a sword in my gut. I didn't feel it oddly enough until he twisted and pulled it away. I could no longer stand. I watched my daughter's unmoving body as the blade came down again, I did not care to try to dodge this, I could feel all the years catching up to me a thousand years and it all came to this. I would lose my head on the field my eldest was slain on. I dropped my blade, but before it hit the ground everything went black.
