Adaya pov
We were on our way back to the caravan walking right next to a river I balanced on a log pressed against the bank. "Why didn't you warn me of how gorgeous Gretha was?" Laila Nuged my arm she still had a smile on her face, though whether it was from meeting Gretha or him saying yes so quickly, I do not know.
"Well I hadn't known you would have gawked at the sight of him. Or I would have." She mocked offense.
"I did not gawk, I simply admire what is in front of me." Just as I was about to come back with another remark, her hand shot out and pushed me off the log. I screamed as I hit the freezing cold waters.
"Laila!.......help me up now."
"so you can pull me in too? I don't think so."
I huffed, then got up and onto the bank. I sat down and pulled off my boot, " great. Now my foots cut open!" I heard her run up behind me to ensure I was alright. It was her turn to scream when I shot up and tackled her into the water, I went in too. But who cares I was already wet. I sat up letting her breath, the water was at my waist while sitting on my knees. I smirked at Laila as she gave me a narrow eyed expression it lasted a few seconds then she splashed me with water.
We both began to laugh, then remembered how we were still in the freezing cold water, and moved out to the bank I wanted to change but she got my spare clothes wet as well. She however got the narrow eyed expression when she showed me how her pack had been left on the bank. She laughed then moved into the woods, she had dry clothes on when she emerged and threw me a dry coat, it was thin but still better than my wet shirt and leather vest, I moved into the woods and removed the freezing cold shirt, then slipped on the cost and put my leather vest back in over it.
Laila pov
We arrived at the camp just before nightfall. "Ah you're back, and the child is not here. I assume this means we will be returning?"
"of course brother, did you ever doubt my skills in persuasion? We will head that way tommorow if everyone is ready."
"Just a few more things to load." He did not comment back on my skills, too afraid to admit it I spose.
"Why are you already packed? were you already expecting a them to say yes?"
Haren laughed at her ignorance. "No, we try to keep moving so as to keep from getting caught. Even if you had not brought us this news, we would have moved on."
Adaya seemed to understand and began to help pack things from around the camp.
