Duncan pov
I Had men bring stretchers to carry the two men on, I am glad Adaya came when she did, we have no real Healers here just feild medics and the like. Commander Gretha has no open wounds he just seems to be in a lot of pain and is pail in his face. Garen however has been stabbed through a lung by the looks of it, they both need attention from a skilled healer. I do hope that girl knows as much as we figured her to.
I led the men down the street and strait to Adayas house, A crowd gathered at the sides of the streets leaving us a clear path through. sweat padded all of our faces by the time we got there, we had full on sprinted the whole distance. I did not even stop at the door in my panic I just burst right on through it.
no sooner that I had taken that second step inside I was thrown back into the wall by something. I looked up to see Adaya standing beside her bed, My not thinking was wasting precious time. "Adaya." I was cut off as she seen the two men with stretchers.
she ran to the table and threw everything off of it. "Put that one here. then she pointed to the bed, put the other there."
Adaya pov
I was still grogy but I forced myself to pay focus on the task at hand, neither of these men looked to be in good condition. "Duncan take my sister for a walk." my voice stayed calm though I was still a little pannicked. I had just woke up and I need all my consentration on the men in my house, not worried what my sister will see while I work.
Duncan looked at me a little confused himself. "bu-"
"Duncan! Take my sister for a walk." He seemed to catch that I did not want her here right this minute and took her hand, then walked strait for the door. I hope I can trust him.
I looked over the first man, it was Garen, He had a large hole right between two ribs, "Grab that crate and bring it here." I pointed to the crate I had my supplies for this kind of thing in, The did so instantly, I drew my knife and poped all the nails sealing it as fast as I could, I took a tube and put it to where I thought it should be and had one of the men start pumping the blood out of the colapsed lung, untjl thats done theres noting I can do for him.
I turned to the other man, It was Gretha, I seen no wounds but his blood did not seem to be circulating, I put my ear to his chest and felt a faint yet frantic heartbeat, I have to make this beat stronger, I was about to begin compresions when I noticed his mouth was dry and stained black. Nightlock, I had the men bring me another box that had some antidotes in it, I could not remember if I had completed that one or not, I searched through the viles and finally found the one marked Nightlock poisening, I had made a little cross on it to show it was and antidote, I grabbed a syrenge and stuck it strait to his heart, hopefully this will circulate it fast enough to keep the poison from compleating its job. I started the chest compulsiions after that hopin to speed t up a a t least a little bit, finally his heartbeat became strong though still a little frantic there was nothing else I could do for him until he woke up.
I moved back to Garen, the man had just finished so I was abe to go strait to work, I dipped a stick in some of my healing gel, it would hurt him like a demon was groing inside but it would also heal his lung fast enough that he would not die of oxygen deprivation, I hope, he began struggling as soon as I put the stick in, and I almost quit, for some reason seeing him in pain like that made me want to quit, but I kept going, I had to save his life.
Artounous pov
We had made it back to the capitol, I had forgotten about the festival, so as soon as we walked in we were greeted by a party, there were things flying in the air all the singers had gathered and were making the most beautiful music, I turned to yennefer and my good mood went sour, she still had that blank look on her face, the control had returned a long time ago but I thought she might at least look as though she were enjoying the happenings around us. after that I walked strait to her drop off point and sent her back to her cell. it doesnt make a lot of sense to send her there while she under this kind of control but. its what the assembly wants.
I walked past the many guards and gates into the castle where I met with the council to tell of our mission.
"Lord Dalasai." I bowed low in greeting of the overly muscular man, he was my good friend as well.
"Artounous. it is good you are here, I have another task for you before you meet with the council."
Ethan pov (wood elf)
I released the arrow, it soared skillfully into the heart of the deer, it fell before its next breath. I tied a rope to its legs and began to drag it back towards the campsite. I hung it next to the caravan and begin to skin my bounty, unfortunately it would be enough to feed us all for a week, we have lost many people over the last few months, it seems the order has started giving us the rest of they're attention.
"Ethan. we need to speak." Jacky walked up to me with a most determined look on her face.
"What's the problem Jacky?" I kept skinning my kill while she spoke.
"Why are we still here? its been two weeks we need to have left a long time ago."
she was right but I had a feeling that if we stayed here a much needed miracle may just arrive.
