HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO THOSE WHO CELEBRATE IT BRRRR)
=Time Steve's POV=
"We need a way to defeat Elemental Steve, and I believe I have an idea." I told the humans and Steves in front of me. They were all sitting on the couch, some slumping in weird positions. Specifically Galaxy, who was upside-down.
"What's your idea?" Sabre asked, tilting his head. "Well, I'm glad you asked, Sabre. We're going to destroy the In-Between!" I proclaimed.
Rainbow spit out his drink as Sabre sprung to his feet. "WHAT!?" They shouted, along with one of the other humans, who was just confused. "What's the In-Between?" Galaxy asked. "I literally told you two days ago-" Rainbow said.
"The In-Between, Galaxy, is Elemental's base of operations." I told him. "Ohhh.." He nodded.
"So how are we gonna destroy it..?" Sabre asked. He seemed uneasy. "With these!" I exclaimed, pulling out a little black orb with a clock on it. "IS THAT A BO-" "SSSHHH!! DON'T SAY THAT WORD!! The government could hear!!" "We aren't even on earth-" "shhhh-"
I blinked. "What..?" Sabre laughed nervously. "Hahaaa.. Don't worry about it!"
I rolled my eyes. "Either way, yes, these are explosives. This one is deactivated, so it won't explode unless another one goes off. In order to destroy the In-Between, we need at least a full stack of these, but it will cost me lots of energy."
Sabre gave off a nervous yet exited aura. "When are we gonna blow it up? Can you help us with placing the explosives? Will Elemental attack right afterwards?" "Calm down, Sabre." I interrupted. I suggest that two of you go to place th-" "We'll do it!!" Sabre and Rainbow shouted simultaneously.
"Why and how are you two so eager?" Shark asked. Sabre just smiled.
"Either way.. The explosives could go off from several years to instantly. I suggest we head towards the mountain where the entrance to the In-Between is. I'll give you the time bom-" "SHHH-!" "...The explosives when we get there. Alright?" Sabre nodded as Rainbow glared at Moose for interrupting.
"We're pretty much ready to go, right?" Sabre asked. Rainbow turned back to Sabre and nodded. "Alright then. See you guys later!" Sabre called. The small human and Steve rushed out the door, and I followed. Why they were so exited, I didn't know, as Elemental had originally treated them with kindness. He hadn't hurt them too much, right..?
Maybe it was due to the fact that Elemental had turned out to be evil, and later had taken that potion hit for me in the midst of battle. I had no idea what it did, but luckily, Sabre didn't seem to be too affected by it, maybe due to the fact that he was a human, and not a Steve.
However, there seemed to be something familiar about him. I couldn't pinpoint it though...
---flashback---
I tumbled through the snow after the sudden teleport. I landed hard into the cold fluff, then forced myself up, groaning. "Wh-where is this place.." I muttered. Great. Elemental flung me into a snowy tundra.
I collapsed back into the snow, exhausted. Maybe a nap wouldn't be so bad.. Just a quick break... "No, Time, get up..." I told myself. I got back up and stumbled across the freezing landscape.
My hands and feet were already numb from the cold climate as I trudged aimlessly through the snow. Maybe if I walked for long enough, I'd find a nice, warm cave, or even a warmer biome.
I saw a light in the distance after a few hours. "Heh.. that's funny.." I mumbled, "another hallucination..." Whatever.. May as well give it a shot.." In all honesty, I was ready to just collapse right then and there and hibernate for a few years, but I guess it was the thought of what stupid thing Elemental could be doing that kept me going.
I stumbled into the small town, collapsing at the frozen fountain in the center. I curled up next to a lantern, trying to warm myself from the candle inside. "Hello..? Who's there..!?" A voice shouted. I jolted and sat up, looking at the young Blue Steve in front of me. "H-Hey there, buddy..." I smiled weakly at him, although it was concealed by my clock mask.
"Why are you here..? You seem cold, do you need a place to stay..?" He asked. I nodded weakly. "Warmth sounds pretty good about now.. heh.."
The Blue Steve helped me up and led me into an igloo. There was a singular torch inside providing light and warmth, as well as a table, a furnace, some chests, and a bed. I sat in front of the torch, shivering, as the Blue Steve went to his chests to make some food.
"So, where are you from?" He asked. "You don't look like a base colored Steve... Then again, you're all covered up. Heh, good thing you aren't wearing shorts and a t-shirt, huh?" I laughed at his remark, then nodded.
"My name is Time Steve. I'm a more powerful Steve that can control time and whatnot." I told him. He seemed intrigued. "A Time Steve, hm? Sounds cool." He said. I nodded. "I can teleport, but I'm too weak right now." I told him.
"Oh, is it because of the cold?" He asked. I shook my head. "No, I was just in a big fight with a bad man. I was teleported a few hours away from here, and happened to stumble across this town." The Blue Steve nodded.
He set a plate with steak and carrots in front of me, so I thanked him and ate, the food warming me from the inside. I soon finished. "Thank you so much for the meal. Is there anything I can do to help you?" I asked him. He smiled.
"Well, I was planning on moving soon. Maybe you could find an area for me to build a new house? You don't have to, if you don't want to." He offered. I nodded. "I'll keep a lookout. I best be on my way now, I have no idea what my enemy could be doing." I told him.
We said our goodbyes and I set off in the snow, my energy somewhat renewed. I walked a bit of a ways from the village, then teleported back to my dimension, where I could rest. That Blue Steve seemed.. important.
Interesting.
