=Rainbow Steve's POV=

I told Sabre to run. He trusted me, so he screamed an insult at Nightmare and ran away. For an instant, time seemed to slow down for me as my eyes darted around the scene playing out in front of me.

I saw Sabre turn and run, I saw Nightmare's expression turn from a crazy, wild excitement to a furious anger, and then I saw Ghost.

He looked up at Nightmare, then down at me. He had a scared, confused expression, tears of fear streaming down his face as we made eye contact. I heard explosions going off around me, Ghost's form flickering just before my powers teleported me away.

I found myself randomly teleporting throughout the world, and finally, when the teleporting stopped, I found myself in an underwater air pocket. I was standing on a small pillar of ice. I relaxed a bit, panting, but then it started to grow.

It made a diamond-like shell around me. I tried to break out of it, but I couldn't. The ice was too thick to break through. Tendrils of ice spiraled in towards me and I backed up, climbing onto the pillar. The spikes came closer and closer as I started to cry from the fear of getting impaled. I didn't want to die!

I closed my eyes as the ice touched my skin. But the sharp point didn't hurt me. It started to spiral around my arms and legs, holding me in place. I struggled as the ice wrapped around me more and more, trapping my body. I couldn't move at all. The ice wrapped around my head and then my mouth and eyes.

Then I blacked out.

The next thing I knew, I heard the sound of ice breaking. I fell forward into Sabre's arms, shivering and shaking. He hugged me tight, trying to warm me up. I was so cold, I could feel the frost on my hair, the ice shards stuck to my clothes, my now freezing blue lips...

I curled up as he took off his onesie to put on my freezing body. Underneath, he was wearing a long sleeve striped shirt with dark grey pants. He suited me in his onesie and I whined, wondering how anyone could be so kind to me.

"Hey, Rainbow, don't worry. We're together now. You're okay." Sabre told me. I looked at his blindfolded face, wiping some ice off my face. I buried my face into his chest and he pulled the hood over my head after ruffling my hair.

I felt a sudden pain in my chest. It hurt and I started coughing.

=Sabre's POV=

I sat there, Rainbow limp in my arms. I couldn't do anything about his sadness. I didn't even know why he was upset. We were together. All I could do was hug him tighter.

He coughed. I ran my hand under my onesie hood through his fluffy hair, trying to calm him down. But the coughing suddenly became violent, and I got worried. I pat his back and shook him softly.

But the coughing still didn't stop. I panicked, saying Rainbow's name over and over. Then he stopped and slumped over in my arms. "NO!" I shouted, checking his pulse. Okay, he was still breathing, just unconscious. I picked him up and carried him out of an entrance that had opened up earlier.

He had the same peaceful expression that he had when I brought him to his room earlier this week. I sighed and sat Rainbow down in the grass next to a tree. But something unexpected happened.

As soon as his skin touched the grass, flowers sprang up around him. The grass grew a few more feet, and the small tree suddenly grew up into a giant tree. And it wasn't just any normal giant tree, it was a Tree of Life. And it was a Blue Tree of Life.

I backed up to stare at it. It was smaller than the Rainbow Tree of Life, but it was still larger than most trees. The sudden plant life sprung up around Rainbow within a ten-block radius. I looked at Rainbow and he had a small smile on his angelic face.

He then opened his eyes, seeing the beautiful blue leaves above him. His smile grew larger as he stood up to touch the leaves. "Blue Steve..." Rainbow said, "look, it's your favorite color..."

As soon as he said that, however, he saw his hand in the white, feathery onesie. He shrieked and fell over, and I rushed in to catch him. He looked up at me with pure innocence. I couldn't help to smile at his adorable expression. "Aww."

His eyebrows turned downwards. He sat up and turned to look at me. His eyes widened. "WHO'RE YOU? WHERE AM I? WHERE'S ALL MY STUFF? WHERE'S BLUE?!?" He yelled, looking around frantically.

I fell back into the grass, surprise covering my face, the thick blades covering me completely. Rainbow came into my vision with a large stick, before bringing it down on my head and knocking me out.
