Me and vinnie were sitting at our spot on the mountain. It's our spot because he took me here when we were in middle school and we came here every time we had things on our minds.

my head was rested on his shoulder looking straight ahead at the light up buildings.

"y/n.. can I be honest with you" vinnie whispers as I look up at him.

"ofc.. what's up?"

"have u been in love?"

"I have been in love.. once" I mumble as he looks down at me.

"what's it like?"

"it's..not what it seems to be in the movies or shows when the guy and girl fall in love and stay together till the end"

"what happened with ur love story?" vinnie says as I stay silent looking at the view.

"long story short, we never lasted" I say as vinnie rubs my back pulling me closer to him.

"do u feel comfortable telling the whole story?"

I shake my head no as he nods keeping me close to him.

"it's okay u don't have to.."

it goes silent for a few minutes as I sigh checking the time to see it's 1:28am.

"it's getting late vin"

"it's ok we can stay here a little longer"

I nod putting my head back on his shoulder.

"I love you"
