I walk into Barnes and nobles looking for a specific book I saw online that I really was interested in.

I walked up to the counter to where my favorite person is and always is helpful.

"Hey y/n"

"Hi Katie"

"Back again this is the second time this week what u looking for today?"

"ha I was wondering if u have this book in stock?"

I say showing her my phone of the book.

"Ur in luck im pretty sure we have one left of it! Follow me this way"

Katie says coming around the counter as I follow her to the place the book is.

"And it should be around here"

"Thank you Katie"

"Your welcome I'll be upfront if u need help"

"Oki"

I look around the bottom then middle then the top.

I turn my head a bit to the left to see it up really high on the shelf.

"Seriously im to short for this" I groan as I reach on my tippy toes reaching my hand out to grab it.

I wasn't paying attention to who was around me as I see someone's hand reaching for the book as they grab it and I turn around.

"Hey!" I say seeing a tall, curly light brown hair guy holding the book with his two hands.

"is this what u were trying to get?" He says laughing handing me the book.

"Ya thank you"

He nods as it goes silent.

"so do u come here often? U don't look like the type of guy who reads books, no offense"

"No not really I had nothing to do today so why not come stop by and see what they have"

"Oh cool"

"I uhm really like the book u choosed"

"Thank you, ya I saw it online and I was interested so I stopped by to see if they had it"

I say looking at the book as I look back up at the boy.

"I'm sorry where r my manners I'm y/n"

I say holding my hand out for him to shake it.

"Ur good, I'm vinnie nice to meet you"

He says shaking my hand as I pull away.

"Nice to meet you too"

"Do u want to get coffee? And we can talk more?"

"Ya sure ima go pay for this book and I'll see you there"

"Kk"

I smile walking out the isle as I go up to the counter paying for the book.

"Sooo I saw u with that guy"

"Katie shut up"

"I'm just playing with you"

"Here"

She says handing me the book.

"Thank you Katie"

"Your welcome"

I give her a smile as I walk over to vinnie at Starbucks going up in line.

"so do u come here often?"

"Ya actually this is my favorite place to go to just relax for the day I usually grab a coffee and read my book whenever I come"

"Oh so ur like the type of girl who always has her head in the books?" He says laughing a bit

"I guess u can say that ya not really a active sports type of person"

"Ah"

"Thank you for buying me the coffee I could of bought it myself"

"I wasn't gonna let that happen"

I smile as I take a sip of my coffee placing it back down as I look out the window.

"tell me more about urself"

"What do u wanna know?" I say turning my attention back onto vinnie.

"Everything"

"ooo well that's a lot"

"here I'll start easy, where u from?"

"New York City"

"What made u move to L.A?"

"Idk I didn't have any friends in New York City, I was living on my own so why not, I heard L.A was a great place to move to so I tried it out"

"How u liking it so far?"

Vinnie says drinking his coffee.

"It's amazing I think moving here was a good decision"

I check the time and I sigh putting it back in my hoodie pocket.

"I have to go, I promised I meet up with my friends soon"

"Oh no worries"

I get up from my chair grabbing my book and coffee as I move my chair in.

"It was nice meeting you tho"

"Ya same"

"before u go can I get ur number?"

Vinnie says stopping me as I was about to leave the Starbucks.

"Oh ya ofc"

I pull my phone out as I type in vinnies number.

"There"

"Awesome well I guess I'll see you around y/n"

"for sure ty for the coffee btw"

"Yw, bye"

"Bye"

I say giving him a warm smile as I leave Barnes and nobles walking out to my car.
