More than a Story

"Hey Y/N, I know this is random, but I found this fanfiction story on a website about your boyfriend. You might wanna check this out," your best friend said from the other line.

You laughed softly as you stretched across your bed. "I'm actually really bored right now and have no plans to do anything today, so honestly? Not the worst idea."

Sitting up, you grinned. "Send me the link, girl."

After ending the call, you grabbed your laptop and made your way toward Michael's library. It was quiet there, peaceful enough for you to relax without anyone bothering you.

You closed the door behind you and settled onto the couch with the laptop resting on your lap. A few minutes later, your phone buzzed with a notification.

You immediately clicked the link. "Oh... MJ Imagines (World with Applehead)." you murmured to yourself. "This seems interesting."

Curious, you began scrolling through the different scenarios posted on the website.

At first, you expected the stories to be cringey, but surprisingly... you enjoyed them. Some were cute, some emotional, and some had you laughing quietly to yourself because of how accurate they felt. Coincidentally, a few scenarios even reminded you of moments you and Michael had actually done together.

The emotions were a complete roller coaster. There were soft scenes, funny ones, romantic ones, and some hotter ones too...but overall, the stories were genuinely well written.

You were currently reading one called Reasons Why I Love Michael. For some reason, the way the author described him felt so familiar to you. Almost personal. You found yourself smiling and nodding while reading each line, completely immersed, not even noticing that Michael had already walked into the library.

He stood behind the couch with his hands resting on his hips, a grin slowly spreading across his face as he watched you reading so intently.

"Wow," he teased. "It's been a long time since I've seen you reading something."

You jumped slightly at the sound of his voice and quickly turned around. "Michael!" you breathed out, placing a hand against your chest. "Don't sneak up on me like that. You know how easily I get startled."

He laughed warmly before leaning down to press a kiss against your forehead. "I'm sorry, my love," he said softly. "What are you reading, by the way?"

The second he tried moving closer to look at the screen, your eyes widened. You quickly closed the laptop and hid it behind your back.

"Ah... uhm... just some reports," you lied awkwardly, forcing out a smile in hopes he would believe you.

Michael stared at you for a second before rolling his eyes playfully. "I'm not buying your lie."

Oh, damn. "Are you sure?" he continued teasing. "Because I'm pretty sure I saw my name there."

You sighed in defeat before finally facing him properly.

"Come on," he said curiously while holding your hand. "Tell me. I wanna know now."

"Well..." you started hesitantly. "My best friend found this fanfiction website about you."

The second you said those words, Michael giggled.

"About me?" he repeated in amusement. "Oh damn. Okay then?"

"And since I was bored, I told her to send me the website so I could read it."

Michael nodded slowly, still smiling to himself. "Is it good?" he asked genuinely. "I've never read stories about me before."
