Chapter 18 - The Cafe

Maki's POV

Ever since that space himbo invited me to stargaze, I haven't fell back asleep

For an unknown reason, the question still remained in my head

Why does the moon chase the Earth? Which one are you?

Mainly because I don't entirely understand the question, what's with the stupid space metaphor and why do I care?

It's so stupid, it doesn't even make sense

I just need to do something to get my mind off it..

As if to answer my call, I heard my phone ring

I hesitated before deciding to pick it up

With uneasiness surrounding me, I reluctantly picked up the phone

"Hello?"

"Hey Maki-Roll! Wanna go to the cafe near Hopes Peak?"

I took a sigh of relief before answering

"Sure..."

"Alright! I'll send you the address, see you there!"

He hung up on me before I could answer

You could practically feel his smile from the phone

I got up and grabbed my purse and put my smart phone inside as I got out of my room and sat down on the couch to watch TV for a minute

My plan was to wait a minute before leaving

Once I got his text of the address I unlocked the door and started to walk out, but I was stopped by a familiar blonde, both of us bumping into each other, causing her to fall backwards

"Ow!"

"Sorry." I outstretched my hand for her, she obliged and got up

"What're you doing out so early?" I asked

Her face turned a crimson red as she walked back to her room

"Nothing!" She yelled to me as she slammed her door and locked it

That was weird..

I put the interaction aside as I walked out of the dorm and made my way to the main courtyard

Once I reached there I picked up my pace and checked the time, there's no way that dumbass is gonna get there before me

Since I wasn't looking, I fell into someone, to not fall, I did a quick back walkover to bring myself up

I looked over at the person, she had light purple hair and patted her clothes down as she got up herself

"I wasn't looking, sorry." I replied quickly

She didn't answer and observed me in response, So I did the same

"Don't worry about it, you might want to hurry." She said in an orderly fashion, she probably could tell I was in a hurry, she seems like the smart type

I walked passed her and picked up my pace once again, making sure I got there first

...

I didn't walk for to long until I got there, he wasn't there yet so my goal was reached

I waited there for a minute before texting him

You know the drill with texting, names are what they have for each other
