Chapter 28 - A Nightmare

Maki's POV

I woke up.

I woke up.

This is getting repetitive really

I woke up without an alarm, silence filled the room

I got up slowly, grabbing my phone to look at the time

6:30 am

Whoops

Oh well...

I grabbed my usual uniform from my closet as I went into my bathroom and brushed through my hair without looking in the mirror

I drowsily looked up to be greeted by...myself, just me.

Nothing special, just me.

But my mirror was shattered, I'm not sure why but I just brushed it off

I brushed my hair without looking back at the mirror, once I finished I slowly changed out of my pajamas and into my uniform

I walked over to the door and turned the knob hesitantly, I'm not sure why I was tired, I'm usually never tired

But, it's like being tired without being tired, I'm not tired in a way I wanna go back to sleep, I'm tired in a way of just not wanting to go back out there and having to deal with well, everything.

I was distracted yesterday which is why I tried not to notice but,

Everyone is distant, they all are ignoring me..

Not Momota and stuff but..

The others...

And I really don't want to assassinate Saihara anytime soon..

I walked out of the door with a frown, I slowly made my way to the cafeteria for breakfast

But its all a blur

Everything is a blur.

I opened the doors of the dining hall, I glanced over at our table, Momota was surprisingly the only one at our table

My eyes lit up as I excitedly walked towards him

I came from behind him, biting back the huge grin I wanted to let out

I grabbed his shoulder as I turned his head towards me

"Good morning." I said contently before opening my eyes

Momota turned to me with a dead expression

What.

He...

Huh..?

Wait..

What?

I stepped back, my smile disappearing as I looked at him

He had blood dripping down from his mouth, his eyes looked dull as ever, contrasting to the usual goofy and smily Momota

My eyes widened

He wasn't even looking at me, his eyes looked at something else

Huh..?

I slowly turned my head to see what he was looking at

Akamatsu...

He was looking at Akamatsu...
