Kaede's POV:
"Good Morning Shuichi!" I exclaimed to my sleeping fiancé
"Ah! Good Morning Kaede....and Happy Birthday! Of course.." Shuichi mustered up a happy birthday wish tiredly
"Sorry for waking you up like that! What should we do today?!" I asked him
"How about I make you breakfast, and you get some more sleep.." he suggested
"You'd really do that?" I asked
"Of course sweetheart!" He got up from the bed and left the room, I was left with my thoughts
He even called me Sweetheart! Oh I love it when he calls me that!
I went back to sleep, or at least tried to, today is just too exciting to sleep on!
Shuichi came back in the room with a tray full of food and placed it on my lap as I sat up on the bed board
"Breakfast in bed! You really are the best fiancé a girl could wish for!" I exclaimed to him happily as I ate the sausage and scrambled eggs
"It's really not that much....it's one of the only things I know how to make.." he chuckled
"Well no worries Detective Shuichi! Once we're married, you can leave all the cooking to me! I'm not the best but I've been preparing to became an amazing cook just for you!" I exclaimed
"Ah...that's just too much Kaede..Uh- Remember! You have a piano recital today!" Shuichi suddenly worried
"Huh? Yeah! I planned it for today on purpose! Piano is my passion and what truly makes others happy! So I thought it'd be perfect to do on my birthday! Is that okay? I should've considered I'd be ruining our time together I'm sorry-"
"No Kaede, I'm glad, you'll be doing what makes you and others happy. And that's a celebration worth the Ultimate Pianist!" Shuichi smiled sweetly
"Awww Shuichi! You're the best!" I exclaimed before jumping up to give him a kiss and then place the tray in the sink
"I should get ready! Let's go out until it's time for my recital!" I suggested, he nodded
We both got ready for the day and once we finished, we went out to the park
We held hands and walked together, talking about nothing in particular!
That's when I spotted a familiar brunette!
"Maki?" I questioned, the long-haired brunette turned to me, along with the purple-haired man who followed
"Oh, Happy Birthday Kaede.." Maki smiled contently
"Happy Birthday Kaede!" Kaito exclaimed with a grin
"Funny seeing you guys here! Are you coming to my piano recital today?" I asked them
"We wouldn't miss it for the world! Right Maki-Roll?" Kaito exclaimed as he punched his knuckles together and then turned to Maki
"I'll have to agree with his space metaphor.." she smiled again
I smiled brightly, "Great! See ya there!"
Me and Shuichi sat down at a bench facing the fountain in the middle
"This was where our first date was! Remember?" I asked, Shuichi turned to me with a small smile and nodded
We talked again about nothing in particular, when a familiar short purple-haired friend approached us, his green-haired boyfriend following along
