After the group's flight to Pittsburg everyone parts ways for the evening with different things to do. Sam does a small bit of sightseeing while she has the chance then grabs a drink at the bar not far from the hotel everyone is staying at.

Sam barely gets a drink down and is about to order another one when a familiar face shows up at the bar. Sammy walks inside and up to the bar without noticing Sam right away. Sam tries her best to ignore her former best friend, hoping that he doesn't see her. And also that he doesn't stay long. As she wants is a quiet drink to herself before she meets back up with the group for some scheming.

"Oh, Sam...hey." Guevara spots Sam right after he gets his drink ordered and walks over to her.

"Guevara," Sam replies dryly and picks up her drink.

"Can I sit?" Sammy asks her politely.

"Why not?" Sam shrugs. "Seat's free."

Sammy nods as thanks and sits down next to Sam silently. The bartender brings over his drink and Sammy takes a sip, trying to come up with something to say to Sam.

"So...how've you been?" Sammy asks awkwardly.

"Fine." Sam shrugs again. "Helping Max nurse a head injury. Thanks for that, by the way." She picks her drink back up nonchalantly.

"Right." Sammy nods. "Yeah, sorry about that. I guess Santana kind of got a bit carried away." He rubs the back of his neck.

"No kidding." Sam chuckles dryly. "And how's your fearless leader doing? Bad I hope." She asks him.

"Well, he's definitely not happy with what happened a few days ago." Sammy shakes his head. "Max refusing to give in was a surprise, to say the least."

"I guess that Max is a better man than you all although, huh?" Sam smiles to herself at proving her dad wrong about him.

"Yeah, right." Sammy nods. "I'm glad that he did what he did. I didn't want you getting hurt." He adds.

"Right." Sam laughs. "Sammy if you didn't want me getting hurt? If you really cared about me at all. Then why the hell are you still hanging out with Chris?" She turns to him with a scowl.

"I...he's my mentor, Sam." Sammy reminds her.

"Bullshit." Sam rolls her eyes. "Sammy you are perfectly capable of having a great singles career without my dad. You stay with him because you think it's fun and easier than being all alone. So do us all a favor and stop lying to yourself." She scoffs.

"You know at least I don't think it's funny to betray my own family." Sammy decides that he can be just as petty as Sam. "We get it, Sam, your dad's a dick. But that doesn't give you the right to go around and soil his name because daddy didn't give you enough attention as a kid."

"Fuck you!" Sam gets up from her seat and tosses her almost full drink in Sammy's face. "You know what? You and my dad are a perfect pair. Both egomaniacal assholes that deep down only care about one thing. Yourselves." She scoffs and tosses a couple of bills down onto the bar counter before she storms off.

It's still early out but Sam heads back to the hotel anyway. She gets up to her room, opting to bunk with Wardlow this time to switch things up. Oddly enough she finds him also back in the hotel room doing something on his laptop.

"You're back early," Wardlow comments when Sam slams the door behind her. "Who pissed you off, shorty?" He asks you.

"Sammy fucking Guevara." Sam grits her teeth and flops down on her bed. "I don't suppose I could convince you that beating him up is a good idea, could I?" She glances at Wardlow while hanging her head off of her bed dramatically.

"You are the boss." Wardlow chuckles.

"I am?" Sam sits back up with a confused look.

"Sure." Wardlow nods. "You and Max are an item now right? So that makes you The Pinnacles first lady." He half-jokes.

"Oh yeah, huh?" Sam laughs. "I guess sleeping with Max does come with perks after all." She jokes. "Does that mean that you'll kick his ass for me then?" She asks again.

"Sure thing, boss." Wardlow nods with a grin. "Tomorrow on Dark, consider his ass kicked." He nods to Sam.

"Thanks, Wardlow." Sam nods back with a grin. "You have no idea how much that pleases me."

It doesn't take long for Dax and Cash to show up for the team meeting, followed by Shawn and Max seemingly arguing with one another about something.

"What are you two bickering about?" Sam rolls her eyes when they come through the door.

"Nothing important." Shawn insists and shuts the door behind him.

"Naturally." Sam nods as Max makes his way over to her and sits down.

"And how was your day, princess?" Max asks her as he sits down.

"Fine." Sam shrugs. "Threw a drink in Guevara's face at the bar earlier." She informs him. "And now Wardlow has volunteered to beat his ass for me." She adds.

"You know dating you just keeps getting better and better." Mac chuckles.

"Well, I do tend to have that effect on people." Sam giggles.

"Atta girl. That's the spirit I like to see." Max nods. "Now, let's get this meeting started. We've got plans to make to go along with Wardlow kicking Guevara's ass tomorrow." He stands back up from Sam's side.

The team all gets together to get some scheming done. Everyone agrees that the best course of action is to make sure that the Inner Circle gets dismantled. Just like they tried to do with Sam's team.

Everyone agrees that Wardlow can take care of Sammy alone, he'll be the one that is made the martyr this time. Dax and Cash are going to handle Santana and Ortiz. Max has got Chris, and Sam is left to make sure Hager stays out of the way.

"Are you sure that you want Hager?" Max is wary of the idea of leaving Sam with the big man.

"Yes, Max." Sam nods. "I can handle him just fine." She insists. "You just focus on Chris and we'll do fine."

"Right." Max nods. He's skeptical but he still trusts Sam. He's got to.

Some final preparations are made for tomorrow's show and everyone parts ways for the night. Max is the last to leave the room for obvious reasons.

"You better keep your hands to yourself tonight, princes." Max jokes with Sam.

"I don't know. Wardlow IS very desirable." Sam laughs.

"Yeah Max, I might just have to steal her away from you." Wardlow jokes from his side of the room.

"Funny." Max chuckles. "I'll see you at the gym in the morning, princess." He kisses Sam's cheek before he leaves.

"Night." Sam waves and falls back into her bed. "Night, Wardlow." She adds and flips her lamp off.
