Rogue

I smirked at him. Alam kong bumalik na siya. I was surprised at first noong nalaman kong lumipad siya pabalik dito sa Pilipinas kahapon but I readied myself today. I will fight him. Head to head.

Kumaway ako kay Shan at lumapit sa kanila. I can see shock in his face but that didn't last long. His face now don't have any expression. "Good morning, Shan." Bati ko sa anak ko.

"Good morning po, Teacher." She told me yesterday that she's going to call me teacher in the school since teacher niya ako pero kapag nasa labas ay Tito na. "This is my Daddy po."

"Daddy...really?" I said while looking at the bastard. Alam kong alam niyang anak ko si Shan.

"Hunter Lockwood. Shanaia's father." Pakilala niya.

I secretly gritted my teeth. I am Shan's father and yet this man claims my daughter in front of my face. "Father..." I laughed ridicolously. "I see she's the spitting image of her mother. Walang kinuha sa'yo, Mr. Lockwood."

"Aw, daddy! You're gripping my hand." My daughter said dahilan para mas makaramdam ako ng galit.

"I'm sorry, baby." He immediately apologize. "How about you skip school today?" Sabi niya.

My daughter pouted. "But mommy will get mad."

"That's not very nice of you, Mr. Lockwood. Teaching MY child to skip school." I said with mockery.

"You mean MY child." May diing aniya. "Shan what's your full name?"

"Shanaia Artemis Lockwood, why po?"

Hunter smiled at my daughter. "Nothing, baby. Go to your class." Aniya.

"Ok po, bye Daddy. I love you." Shan gave him a goodbye kiss habang tumingin naman ng nakakaloko sa akin ang gago.

When Shan left his face darkened, I can see killing intent in his eyes but that doesn't scare me a bit. "I see that you're still alive." He said.

"Alive and ready to take my family from you."

"They are my family." Alam kong kating-kati na siyang saktan ako pero dahil nasa loob kami ng paaralan ay nagpipigil siya

"Come on, Hunter! You know that they are mine and I know that Shan is my daughter. I know how to count, you assh*le!"

"Shan is my daughter! Stay away from her or I'll make your life a living hell."

Natawa uli ako. "The day you took Shaila from me I lived in hell and now it's time for me to take my heaven."

Tinalikuran ko na siya at nag-umpisang maglakad paalis nang may maalala ako. "Just so you wait Mr. Lockwood, I'm gonna change their name na pinagmamalaki mo kanina and tell Shai I said hi. She might miss me since we didn't talk much yesterday."

Shaila

"Hey," I smiled then waved at the camera when I saw Fenix's face.

"Nag-away ba kayo ni Kuya?" Tanong niya

"No?"

"Hindi ka sigurado?"

Hindi ko siya kinibo kaninang umaga dahil sa sikretong sinasabi niya. Naiinis lang ako kasi mag-asawa kami kaya dapat wala kaming sinesekreto sa isa't-isa pero nakapag-isip-isip na ako. Hunter said he needed time and I'm willing to give it to him. Ayoko namang pilitin siya. "Well...hindi ko siya kinikibo magmula kagabi."

"Kaya naman pala mukhang galit at gigil. We're in the firing range. Naglalabas ng sama ng loob." He turned the camera to my husband. Hunter is busy shooting. D*mn! My husband's extremely hot when he's holding a gun.

"Laway mo tumutulo! Stop eye-raping my brother!"

"Whatever! He's my husband! I have all the rights!" I ended the video call at nagtext kay Fenix na pupunta ako doon.

Nag-ayos ako and when I reached the firing range I saw my husband sitting on the bench with his brother. Fenix waved at me dahilan para mapatingin sa akin si Hunter. He saw me pero hindi man lang niya ako nginitian. He has this sad and worry expression all over his face. Ganoon ba niya dinamdam ang hindi ko pagkibo sa kaniya?

My husband just needed time. Iyon lang naman ang hinihingi niya. Nang makalapit ako sa kanila ay kaagad na yumakap sa akin si Hunter. He was hugging me while he's still sitting so his face is buried on my stomach. Sinenyasan ko si Fenix na umalis na madali naman niyang sinunod.

"I'm sorry." Sabay naming sabi.

"I'm so sorry, love." Ulit niya.

I made him look at me by holding his cheeks kahit na nakayakap pa siya sa akin. I smiled at him. "It's ok. About that secret, I can give you the time you needed. I'm sure kahit ano naman 'yon, nothing can change my love for you." Nakakaawa ang hitsura ng asawa ko. Ang tamlay-tamlay.

"It's a secret that you can't take lightly." Dagdag pa niya.

"I know." Alam kong sasabihin naman niya agad kung madali ko iyong matatanggap but whatever it is. I trust my husband. He is keeping a secret but does not consider lying, right? I mean alam niyang ang pinakaayaw ko ay ang mga nagsisinungaling.

May hindi rin pa pala ako nasasabi sa kaniya. Iyong tungkol Rogue. Balak ko naman talagang sabihin 'yon sa kaniya kaya lang nakalimutan ko. Siguro mamaya na lang.

"Let's go home, love." Yaya ko sa kaniya.

Tumango naman siya. "Sumabay ka na lang sa akin. Iwan mo na lang muna dito ang kotse mo."

Isang tango lang uli ang isinagot niya sa akin. Tahimik lang si Hunter hanggang sa makauwi kami, not like his usual self kapag kasama niya ako.

I just let him. Siguro kailangan muna niya ng space. "Magpahinga ka muna sa kwarto, love. I'll just prepare our lunch." I kissed his forehead. "Ipapasundo ko na lang mamaya si Shan kay Mang Dan."

Doon na naglalunch si Shan sa school niya since that's their school policy at mamayang alas-tres pa ang labas niya. Hunter went to our bedroom at ako naman ay sa kusina. I sighed. I should make up with him. I busied myself to prepare our lunch until a familiar scent invaded my nose. My husband hugged me from behind then put his chin on my right shoulder.

"Sorry for the way I act earlier." He said.

Using my right hand I ruffled his hair. "Sorry rin dahil hindi kita kinibo kagabi at kaninang umaga. I promised I will wait for you to be ready. Hindi na ko magiging nosy."

"Thank you."

"And I'm promising you that whatever your secret is, I will not hate you. Magagalit siguro ako but I won't hate you." To the point na masisira ang marriage namin. I won't let anything ruin our marriage. Our family.

"Don't make that promise." Aniya.

"Why?"

"Because that's your right and I'm not gonna take it from you." He then buried his face on my neck and in a almost inaudible voice he said something.
