What If - Chapter 24

SEHUN

"I like you Seje, I don't know since when. I just felt it and realized whenever something amazing happens to me, or even when I'm not feeling good that day it was always you who I want to be with, the very first person I want to tell it to. When you're around you always make sure to let me know that I'm allowed to be vulnerable, your voice and smile are enough for me to get through the day. Everything with you is just easy and light, and I'd want nothing more than spend it with just you."

Our gaze stayed locked for a while, neither of us spoke. I moved closer and reached her hands my other hand cupping her cheeks. 

"Seje, I love you." 

I didn't care if she can hear my heart pounding so loudly or feel my hands shaking. I can't find myself to care, not with her because I know I'm allowed to be vulnerable around her. 

Her eyes were fixed on my other hand that was holding hers "Hey, look at me." 

I held her chin up to face me. Her eyes are glossy with unshed tears. "Hey, what's wrong? I'm sorry if I make you feel uncomfortable." I said as I let go of her chin and her hands and her tears start to fall.

"No ... I, you don't make me feel uncomfortable." She answered through her tears. She looks up at me with a shy smile her tear-glazed cheeks redden as her eyes meet mine and suddenly everything clicks I gave her a smile waiting for her to say something.

"Can you not smile at me like that?" Her cheeks blushing even more.

"Like what?" I ask as I lean closer wiping the tears off both of her cheeks with my thumb.

"That smile, while you're staring at me." She answers while she looks at me through her eyelashes.

I cupped her cheeks tilting her face so she's looking at me. 

"I love you Seje, and I'm not rushing you for an answer so – " but she cuts me off before I could finish.

"I like you too. No, I love you too Sehun." I stared at her for a few moments I think I forgot how to speak. 

"How could I not? You always know how to make my day, you always make me laugh. You've seen me at my worst days but still, stick with me through and through. I didn't want to admit it because I was so afraid that what if you don't feel the same way as me, what if after I told you that I'd lose you. I was avoiding you all those weeks because I was afraid you'd see through my façade. I'm sorry for that."

"Shhh you don't have to say sorry." I finally find my voice. "It's okay, now I know you feel the same and you know how I feel."

She gives me that smile I ever so love, with those half-moon eyes. 

"Do you know how much I love when you smile?" Her cheeks flushed pink and I notice how her eyes linger to my lips and back to my eyes, those beautiful orbs and I just notice how much closer I had moved towards her.

"Can I kiss you?" I ask and I can feel her heavy breathing and my own heartbeat racing inside my chest as she nods at me with a smile.

I leaned closer wrapping my arm around her waist, closing the space between us pressing a soft kiss on her forehead, on her nose as she smiles softly and pressing my lips into hers. It's needy and light, a light surrender to one another. 

"I love you, Sejeong."  I whispered the words against her lips.

"I love you too, Sehun."

THE END

Just when I started getting used, to the thought of closing the book. There you were, in every nook of every word, every page and now I wanna stay. Thank God for plot twists like you.

I know this story is not as good as any Sejeong and Sehun story that you've read and lacks a lot in the writing sense, but I still wanna thank you guys for giving it a chance for reading and voting. I had a lot of fun writing this and had a hard time continuing as well.
